I love your vlog. I wish you all the best.😊 Here's a friendly tip - the volume levels are NOT consistent. They jump from really soft to REALLY LOUD. It needs more work. 😊 Other than that - it was a great vlog. Cheers !!!

Oh I know tell me about it. Broke the camera on day 1 so was going between camera, phone and go pro. The go pro is new but we have a rubber case on it. Turns out the rubber case is distorting the sound. It’s very quiet so I’ve had to increase the volume and getting the volume to match but always hear clearly is somewhat of a challenge. Rookie mistake not checking the sound quality before but it’s the same case as our old go pro which was absolutely fine. Typical. Thanks for the feedback though. Appreciate it. I’ll have more of a play with it when editing so see if I can match a little better 😃

Great vlog, love travel days.... ice used rosen hotels a few times....cheap and cheerful, you did get a raw deals with the tiny beds....still only a base and the pools are kept very well, I'll definitely be taking my own shower gel after seeing those prices

Well, another travel day, Gemma and Ian. Could have stayed and met Abbey and Jake at MCO, haha. Great content as usual, guys. One thing I like is you are so honest about hotels, etc. It's always first impressions that count when staying at hotels, etc. Anyway, I look forward to the day one vlog. Well done

Yeah definitely wasn’t a great first impression. When I walk into my hotel room whether it’s a holiday or a work stay I want to be a little wowed rather than oh. Ummm. Sorry family. I will not follow the hype again. 🤣

Oh wows we stayed there in 1995 first ever Florrie trip , looks pretty much the same now room wise but must say those beds defo looked a tad small . The MC D back then had very posh looking loos with gold mirrors etc glued to wall - bit dated for now though . Thanks for a great vlog looking forward to next one !

i'm with you, no qualms about either Avanti Palms or the Rosen hotels, however, since we stayed at Endless Summer and Sonesta Es both on IDrive to try them out, i'm not sure I would stay anywhere else again, haha. Both might be worth considering if the kids continue to come with you on trips as the suites aren't too much more price wise and they do give you plenty more space as a family of 4 (Y)

Just really don’t understand the hype over a Rosen Inn. I think people think that’s as far as their money will stretch but there’s so many better options. Maybe it’s nostalgia 🫣

Loved this video guys! And also McDonald’s strawberry milkshake in the US 😍 & thank you for the honest review of the Rosen Inn! We’ve went back and forth about booking before but the reviews are so mixed.

I totally get the smell we stayed in 2022 and it smelt very musty and old me and my daughter felt abit unsafe the first 2 days however we completely settled in after 2 days and the cleaners where round everyday so it was very clean just outdated. Great vlog been waiting for it as we going november with ba in those same seats at the back x

Thank you. I’m so glad you understand the smell. Old/damp/musty. It’s a no from us. 🫣 I agree though. It seems clean (although I wouldn’t want to lay on that carpet 🤣) and the grounds were well kept. Felt like we’d stepped back in time to a Florida trip of the 90s.

I’m glad you give the different prices for Uber and Lyft, I never think of using Lyft! I used Terminal C and also waited about 45 minutes for my bag, yet only 5 minutes for immigration😊 I’ve never used a Rosen hotel, I think they’re good for having no resort fees, I have fortunately had deals with BA Holidays and had resort fees waived at The Drury Inn. My 2023 trip with Virgin was a let down, they ran out of food! I found BA okay but from Gatwick they do use older planes Boeing 777 - 200 which are about 26 years oldo😢 Enjoyed your travel day.

Oh yeah always check Lyft too especially on longer journeys. The getting the bags first is strange to me because it obviously takes a while to offload all of those bags. At least by the time you’ve waited for security the bags are usually ready. Resort fees I think are dependant where you book. This was a Ba holidays booking but we’ve booked Avanti through booking.com with no extra to pay. I think like anything it’s hit or miss and everyone will have a different experience. I do prefer virgin but ba is perfectly fine Xx

We last stayed in Rosen Inn in 2009 .. I agree with all your comments it was dated back then , everything is brown and beige very dull 😂 we like Cabana Bay/Sapphire Falls because they’re so vibrant plus we feel very safe there too Looking forward to your next vlog It’s the biggest McDonald’s play area not the biggest McDonald’s restaurant 👍👍

Add on another 15 years and it’s the same by the sounds of it but another 15 years older 🫣 Agree hotel others are must brighter and more vibrant. No one wants to walk into their hotel room on an expensive holiday and go… oh god. Is this really what we’re booked?!’. Oh I thought the McDonald’s was the biggest McDonald’s. That’s how it’s always referred to. Largest Mcds by square footage apparently. X

If you get the I trolley to the vineland outlets there is a dollar tree next to Ross dress for less a couple of stops before the outlets

Hi as I’m sure you know you get what you budget is, we are so lucky as our last 7 trips have all been upperclass with Virgin and better Disney resorts but you only really sleep in the room hope the trip gets better as I’m sure we will see keep safe Andy and Vonnie

Ah the dream. One day we’re do upper. I hope 😃. I think people think Rosen is all they can get when looking for a budget hotel but there’s so much better out there. It’s like going back to the 90s in the bad way. 😬

on the Terminal C baggage reclaim - we had the same nightmare, it seems that they are known to be the slowest getting bags out, next time we might do the Tampa flight and we'd be in hotel probably the same time as if we did Orlando due to the delays getting out of the airport

We stayed at the Rosen inn @ pointe and was not a fan either we checked out early and went to stay at all star movies instead 🙈 I know lots of people love them but we need a full size bed especially when I’m sharing with my daughter 😂

Hi great vlog , was thinking of doing budget but looking at those rooms ,that's not for us, those beds are too small and I guess you get what you pay for, thank you for your honesty, I think we are pretty similar with our thoughts on things and I have 2 teenagers probably around the same age has your 2, mine are 16 and 19 . Yes definitely a no from us. Ian tells me to get off the hype train with a lot of things and I always say I want to try for myself - Gideon’s/ Spring rolls at MK/ Strawberry Açai at Starbucks/ Rosen Inns 🤣. This was a fail and I am utterly baffled 🫣

Stayed at the Rosen inn down the road from there, and will never stay again. Went back to a villa this year which was lovely. I'm guessing people stay there because of budget

Glad we’re not the only ones. People can get so much more for their money though. Maybe it’s a nostalgia thing. Went in the 90s and it’s the same how. Brings back good memories 🤷🏻‍♀️. 100% Yes to a villa. At least now we know. Xx

Always detailed with everything and I really appreciate it. Even small things like food price and taxi price. Or the distance of travelling somewhere. Please let us know about the surrounding area of the hotel. Like any restaurants and other activities within walking distance. I really appreciated that you did that with Avanti. I’m currently thinking about a florida trip staying in international drive. Hopefully for Halloween. I think my teens would like universals horror nights 🤞

Halloween Horror Nights is great. If your teens like things that make them jump then 100% 😃

It’s a tiny bit out of the way and you do need a car but we really enjoy staying at the Red Lion down on the 192 in Kissimmee. It’s relatively cheap but we’ve always enjoyed our stays their, especially seeing as the hotel pool has a slide and mini lazy river. Also we love your honest vlogs that have inspired us on our quests for the best bangs for our bucks in Florida ❤.

@@sandrawarne8992 not that one, if you look on Google maps it’s on the East side of I4 about 1.5 miles past Old Town. We stayed there in Feb 2020, Oct 2023 and it’s where we’re going in August this year.

Ah ok. I remember driving past a Red Lion on but I think the one I’m thinking of closed down. There are definitely some nice cheaper hotels out there. Rosen Inns are a no from us 🫣

@@theburgesses2004 the one by the Walmart before the turn off to I4 and Disney, closed about 3 years ago. Building is still there but its apartments now

We stayed at the blue heron that had a fusty smell, chatted to another lady and said hers was the same and had got a couple of boxes of tumble dryer sheets and put them all around, we did the same and helped, cheap ones from dollar tree

So glad the vlogs have started 🎉, It was us that you were chatting with at MCO, Ellie, Jasmine, Chris and Rylan. It was my parents that said Hi to Ian at Gatwick...absolutely made our trip, we were so happy to meet you. We bumped into Abby and Ian again at Walmart too! Oh yay. Thank you for commenting and you have just solved the mystery. I didn’t see you at Walmart but Ian comes in and says someone just said hi to me. I think. I said hi back. It’s one of those things where obviously we don’t expect anyone to recognise us so when someone says hi or excuse me we just assume maybe we’ve dropped something 😝 Really was lovely chatting to all of you. Epcot after hours was great, well worth the money for a quiet park with hardly any queues x

We stayed at Rosen inn at pointe Orlando that was also dark and old and smelly , the buffet restaurant was dirty , we prefer Rosen plaza definitely better quality although more pricey .i personally would spend the extra and stay somewhere better.

Agree with this but can’t comment on any of the food. Restaurant didn’t look particularly inviting though 😆 Yep - either book elsewhere for the same money or up it a little to get a lot better x

I’m guessing you will be staying on a site hotel which is why you don’t have a car. Would be good to know what’s cheaper over your stay

We will have a car for part of the trip. Was going to cost more to have it throughout. I guess taxis overall would be cheaper but only because you would restrict yourself on where you’d go. If you just wanted to pop out for a pizza for instance and it was going to cost you $10 each way you wouldn’t bother. If you went to target and they didn’t have what you wanted you wouldn’t then go to Walmart if you had to pay again to do it. Car for us is definitely the better option. Xx

Also we got on the free bus to universal and to say it was a dissaster was an understatment the bus crashed into a car and our driver tried to drive off but the car driver blocked us in and police where called😢 not a good day that one . The bus driver was very old and drove like he was at nascar😂

To be honest room wise it’s the same.

Just rent a car from the airport. It works out cheaper and much more convenient for getting around.

We usually have a car on a typical 2 week trip. This trip it was going to work out a lot more expensive to have one vs not having one x

I recommend the Hyatt Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando, it’s fantastic. We love it, it’s a beautiful place and still a lot less than a Disney hotel/resort. The rooms are clean with no bad smells, a newer looking hotel that feels more like a place you’d want to stay for your trip, no old feel no mildew musty moldy, and the grounds are beautiful, plus the pool area is resort style with waterfalls and slides. You can order lunch and drinks, we made a day of it and hung out at the pool, very memorable experience. There are paddle boats by the lake (I was terrified we would have a gator encounter but we didn’t.) I think the prices range from $140-$250 a night.

Avanti Palms is underrated and Rosen Inn is very overrated

Sounds like your comparing the hotel to pop sentry. If it smells say something as we have stayed there plenty of times and the rooms are clean and yes a bit out dated with the furniture. But if this is such a problem why not just stay on the disney resort again.

Sorry I started to reply and got distracted 🫣 Pop Century? I wouldn’t know. Assuming you meant All Star Movies. I did say in the video the problem was we had just stayed at Disney. The smell was old/musty/damp. Just a common smell looking at some of the comments. Disney wasn’t on the agenda for this trip so definitely wouldn’t have considered moving there.

Per night direct at the hotel it really isn’t much difference in price (we enquired about a 2nd room at another later in the vlogs)
