Yusimi Moya Rodriguez, former dancer at the Conjunto Folklorico Nacional de Cuba, demonstrating some basic afrocuban Lukumí (Yorùbá) dance moves for the Orisha Yemaya.
Live-Percussion with batá-drumming, bembé-drumming and Lukumí-songs by the "Grupo Enitilukikan" lead by Austrian percussionist Christian Martinek.

Queen of Orishas, mother of Orishas and mother of life. Orisha of the salty seas and the waves, connected to the moon. All this is in the drums and the dance. Beautiful video.
Wow. The language used is an adaptation of the old Yoruba languages. The dancing looks like a combination of Yoruba and Igbo dance. It's hauntingly beautiful.

@@LanegraSantiaguera AfroCubans are a mix of different Tribes. Only the Yoruba and Efik language survived. This dance looks like a mix of traditional Nigerian dances not just Yoruba

Why are you so uptight? No one is stating that anyone Afro culture is better than the next. This has nothing to do with Afro anything this is a Deity dance in homage to a revered saint Yemaya from the Yoruba religion brought from Africa and nothing else.

You don't have only the countries you mentioned only in the Caribbean. Haiti is one of them. In case you didn't know most of these dances have their roots in Haitiano-Cuba traditional dances, Haiti; a very long well kept secret.
