Its a great lockset as I just installed it a few days ago, however it can open freely if you're inside the house, meaning anyone, including your kids, can open the door just by twisting the lever. Its a thing that should have been considered by Orion, like providing a lock button of some sort from the inside.

Affordable and it works

Hi! We just installed one today but I’m confused how to lock it from the inside. I keep it on passage mode, but then want to lock it at the end of the day. Also, I can’t work out what the lock/unlock nib on the inside is for? Thank you!

The inside handle will always unlock the door (engage the bolt/latch). The outside handle would only engage the bolt/latch when the correct code or fingerprint is entered. The security lock switch on the inside if activated, only the physical key or administrator code can unlock the door from the outside. A registered user’s code/fingerprint will not be able unlock the door.

Hi, Everything works just fine for me, for e.g. tag, fingerprint, accesscode are all OK. My understanding is that handle down should normally open the door given the right input from the user. But in my case when I do handle up from outside, then the door unlocks. Surprised....!!. I am not sure whether the door should allow me to do handle up from outside but it unlocks the door. Any help what I missed during the installation. Thanks

That is weird if it opens up from the outside handle without putting the code, fingerprint or tag beforehand. I’ll be returning that set and have it replaced if it were happening to me.

Hi, we are looking to this but we can't find specs about how far the device will protrude on the outside because we have another screen door on the outside so we are lookingsomething that fit between the teo doors. My question is how far does the handle comes out from the door. Thanks very much for your help.

Hi! We have moved and I’m not using it at the moment as our front door is not compatible with this. I have it in its box in the garage somewhere and I’ll have to find it to measure it. But you can head over to Bunnings as they have it on display. I’ll have a day off next week, i’ll get the measurements.

I just bought and installed one, the handle protrudes enough that i can't close my security door

That’s unfortunate. On another note, I’ve been interested in the dual unlock feature with the Yale unity smart door locks. So you’ll have a smart door lock on the main door and the security door and when you unlock the security door it unlocks the main door at the same time so saves you time and effort. It’s a bit pricey but a good feature to have.

Can I Enable/Disable lock sound?

It is compatible with Google Assistant and Alexa as indicated on the box. I neither use one so I haven’t tested it.

@@markdexterbusa please upload a screenshot. I just purchased this lock and nowhere have I found any such reference in the documentation indicating google assistant or Alexia compatibility. I own many other smart device by grid and those do have support; from withing the app, settings of the device, there is an option/heading i.e. "Third Party Control" listing Alexia and Google as options. But this lock however, no such options exist and I have found no reference indicating otherwise, can you upload a screenshot of direct where we can find mention of Alexia or google assistant support for this product?

here is the link of the retailer's website which specifies the product is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. I will tag you with a post of the website's screenshot as I'm not sure how to add a photo reply here. Also as I have mentioned in my first reply, I don't use Alexa or Google Assistant so I haven't tested if it works. I mainly run HomeKit at home and I have no intention of adding this lock to Google Assistant and would just rather run it through the Grid Connect App. I checked and you can link the Grid Connect App to Google Assistant but I don't want to do it for privacy reason.
