Loving how good the Orioles have been since getting swept and how bad the Yankees have been since we destroyed them on that series finale a couple of weeks ago

Austin Hays was incredible during this game 3-4 and it was his birthday so yeah, happy birthday Austin Hays

Been saying this for a while. World Series teams must convert. It’s not even getting hits it getting productive outs. As good as they are, they can reach another level to be World Series champs. We need a little work yet.

The good thing about getting busted up today is that Elias is definitely gonna go get a starting pitcher. I just hope it’s either an ace or a really, really good #3. I think Crochet is the most ideal target because he’s a lefty, he has great swing and miss stuff so you know if he’s got his stuff working early or if you gotta go get him early which is a big deal in postseason baseball, and he knows how to work out of the pen if we need him to. Plus he’s under team control until 2027, but Mason Miller should be the primary target. But I think this series has shown Elias he’s gotta make those two moves, a big, big bullpen arm to compliment Kimbrel and take some of the pressure off the starters, and a starting pitcher that’s going to be the favored pitcher in a game 2-3 scenario in October. I think Grayson will pitch very well if he’s up against another big time quality starter and it will bring out the best in him, and Crochet should be dominant in a game 3 scenario. We get Coulombe back in September, we need Cano and Perez to get their location issues under control and then, at least, an 8th inning shut down set up man, but definitely a starter so you can get Povich out of the rotation in October. And then if Suarez keeps pitching like he has been, I think you have to put Kremer in the pen in October and run Suarez out as your #4, but there’s always the chance that Kremer will pitch better than Suarez even if he keeps pitching like he has been because I think Kremer is capable of being a much better pitcher than people give him credit for. Either way, another starter adds another great bullpen option for Hyde in either Kremer or Suárez which could be our 7th inning guy as long as we go get someone like Miller. Miller isn’t a free agent till 2030, so he’s worth prospects. I think we can get Crochet and Miller with Norby, Stowers, Hays, Beavers and Horvath without touching any of our top 5; Holliday, Kjerstad, Mayo, Basallo and Bradfield Jr. If Basallo can improve his ability to throw out would-be base stealers to where he’s at least comparable to Adley, then you need to call him up opening day next year and utilize him as your back up catcher and drop McCann since he’s a FA this year. If Basallo’s bat shows up from day 1, and Holliday and Mayo are seeing everyday or close to everyday playing time, we could be in a position where three of our best hitters next year aren’t even on the big league club this year, and we are already the best offense in baseball. And if we aren’t trading some of these young talents for elite pitching, we need to give them reps at the big league level so they can become what the world anticipates them becoming. Get Crochet and Miller, get Bradish and Bautista back next year, bring up Basallo and Mayo, let Mayo split DH duties with O’Hearn because if he hits like he has been his whole life, you’ll have the greatest DH split in baseball no question. You can run O’Hearn out at first against righty’s if Mounty doesn’t get it together. If we make the smart move and get Holliday to take reps in the outfield, you can run Mayo to 3rd, westy to 2nd and Holliday to LF if Cowser is struggling against lefty’s and Holliday isn’t. I think Holliday should be given an everyday job no matter what because he’s going to be a super star and just might need time to figure it out. And while everyone talks about trading some of our prospects, I think entertaining trades with Hays and Mullins need to be taken more seriously to bring in pitchers because all of these young guys have been playing together throughout the minors and they won a championship, let them do it at the big league level. Cowser, Holliday, Henderson, Rutschman, Mayo, Kjerstad, Westburg, Santander, O’Hearn, Mountcastle are your starters with the first 9 being the most important at this point. Mountcastle had a big year, the book is out on him and until he makes the adjustments to show he can hit somewhere other than Roger’s Center, he has to take a back seat to the guys performing or with the expectation of performing at an elite level. It sucks, but baseball is as much a business as it is a sport.

Game 2: Mountcastle is in a serious funk, Cowser and Kjerstad have been hitting very well. Where are they against the right handed pitcher that throws upper 90s???? At least Kjerstad. He had several just misses in game 3 against Seattle and he’s been benched ever since. Cmon man. Let this kid swing it. Austin Hays had a 3 hit game, I get it, but he’s been struggling against righty’s all season, why not run Kjerstad out there against the righty????

We need garrett crochet and put cole irvin or albert suarez back in the bullpen for middle inning relief and then get 1-2 actuall bullpen pitchers not keegan akin not bryan baker actual talent lol
