I kind of prefer the Voldemort alias for Ebony Maw, especially since Maw is a sorcerer and a villain, although not as evil as Voldy. Not throwing any shade at Squidward, especially if other countries like SpongeBob.

That entire movie was nerfed by BS writing. Against those odds and a much more powerful Thanos, they manage to pull through. Only because that's how they write the script, but if that was a realistic scenario, there is no way they win

Maw had many abilities in comics, most powerful of them I think was persuasive whisper, that works even the likes of much stronger version of Dr. Strange, he would not need torturing. And of course teleportation, pyrokinesis... But in MCU the telekinesis he possessed seemed to be his only ability and totally OP. I wonder how could he even be blasted to outer space with such abilities, he should've been able to pull himself back to ship easily.

He does seem powerful, but he's nothing compared to Tatsumaki from One Punch Man

I’d like to see Maw in the “What if” by seeing what would’ve happened if he delivered Dr. Strange to Titian. Also he didn’t use full powers because Thanos taught his children that the snap needed to be random and fair they didn’t go just for the kill as seen in both infinity war and endgame

That was his major mistake imo. If it was possible to aim the snap, why not kill all his enemies when he had the gauntlet? Instead of risking to wipe out most of his own force too. Stark took out only the enemies so it could be done@@chainsawboy2388

Exactly instead of just being a purple hulks with a glove that was efficient in martial arts. It so much shit Thanos can do, we could see his powerful cosmic blast or his to trap storm breaker in a time prison taking it out of battle as he did to beta ray bill or his invisible shield fueled by kinetic energy. They should have done the real Thanos quest where the elders of the universe had the gems and he had to use his superior intellect something else they failed to show in either movie, Thanos is one the most intelligent beings in comics not just Marvel.

So all comic book discussions on this topic tend to get simplistic. The word stronger or more powerful is thrown out without any clear parameters for what strength or power means. Hulk has one kind of power. Dr. Strange another. Captain Marvel another. Anyway, Ebony Maw is a techno mage or someone who combines magic and technology. He has telekinetic, psychic, and transmutation powers. *Transmutation is the main reason why he can replicate pym particles.* Given an example of Pym Particles and a source of matter and energy - he would be able to reproduce them. *People forget he defeated Dr. Strange in Infinity War - even when Strange had the time stone.* He is however physically weak. Once he was blown out into the vaccum of space he quickly died.

I like this character. One of my favorites.

They should do a black order movie and not leave out super giant

Love him and I feared him more than Thanos...This guy was very poised, confident, extremely powerful and did things with no hesitation. His first fight with the Avengers, the way he controlled telekinesis made Wanda look completely weak at it, because her version was always accompanied with body stress it seems.

Tell that to Ororo if she was there on how she would have took control of wind inside his body and cause so much pressure to explode him from the inside or control the electrical impulses in his brain making him brain dead or froze his body to zero degree and shattered it. Tell Phoenix(Jean imbued) who would burn him to ashes. Tell Exodus who would have controlled every molecule of his body and separated every part into small pieces. Sir...lol...you have no idea!

Great synopsis of Ebony Maw. I'm still puzzled about how easily he was dispatched. I really thought he would have been able to react and find a way to survive being spaced.

That pressure difference is insane, plus i think he was waiting for a direct attack at him when instead it happened away from him.

Tbh his first death was the worst one possible. He is so powerful, so intelligent. He wouln't just let himself get sucked by the air pressure leaving, and it would never be that fast. Not only the air pressure doesn't work justl ike that, space would take 24~32 hours to freeze a body.

@@stephenblack5425 They were beat really easily in Infinity War and they were a far cry from the comic book version who are almost unkillable. Maybe the Josstice League version but the Snyder Cut Steppenwolf can teraform a location with an axe swing so its hard to tell.

Ebony maw was killed in a tag team between spiderman and ironman and really was just them doing quick thinking, corvus glaive was killed in a tag team between captain America and a weakened vision and said vision only killed him because he sneak attacked him by stabbing him with his own blade, proxima midnight was fighting both okoye and black widow who were two of the best fighters on earth and was overpowering them easily and was about to kill black widow had it not been for scarlet witch who is extremely powerful in her own right, the only one who didn't get tag teamed was cull obsidian and even then bruise banner only killed him because of sheer luck so if it's all of the black order vs steppenwolf then they would pummel him

@@chrisclarke4665 and the Snyder cut version of Stephen wolf isn't that different from the justice league version in terms of power as when Stephen wolf hits Aquaman with his axe we can see that aqua man has no cuts or visible damage after being hit with an AXE so. And also all of the black order members would have killed the angers they were fighting if they weren't tag teamed, since ebony maw casually disposed of song and ironman and probably would have killed Dr strange had it not been for the quick thinking from spiderman, proxima as I said would have most likely killed both okoye and black widow had it not been for scarlet witch interfering, corvus glaive would have killed vision in there first fight and would have killed captain America and vision had vision not sneak attack and stab him from behind with his own blade(said blade easily cut through vision's vibranium body which apart from uru is the strongest substance in the marvel universe so yh. Cull obsidian would have killed ironman in their first fight had it not been for Wong tag teaming him(there are two instances in the first fight where cull would've killed ironman, he also would've killed Bruce banner in hulkbuster had it not been for sheer luck( that l is kinda on him) but the rest are still not to be underestimated

The unpopular truth is that Ebony Maw straight up kicked Dr Stranges ass with little difficulty in a fair fight while Strange even had the Time Stone.

There is no universe where Ebony law is more powerful than Thanos. Thanos killed the one above all, and the living tribunal with the help of the Astral regulator.

Wow-what new prequel comic are they gonna put this in? Ebony Maw is nowhere close in power to his movie interpretation let alone comic. Thanos

So in other words, he’s an highly intelligent, genius tactician whose greatest downfall is his misplaced loyalty against his master who only uses then disposed of him give or take.

Underrated villain .... " TSAR BOMB " treated as a " Grenade " by his Lord THANOS . 😅

From how the effects are visually displayed it seems like Ebony Maw does something different from telekinesis though.. it almost seems like matter manipulation. I notice he never picks up a person just the objects surrounding them and himself.

I don't think he was one the children of Thanos.. instead he was more like his loyal lieutenant..cause whenever other children talks to Thanos they refers him as "father".. but maw refered him as "sire"..

Ebony Mae was a respectable foe . When Thor said in infinity war you will pay he shut him up like he knew Thanos fate . If he returns it would most likely be in Dr Strange movie.

I always believed that in a 1 on 1 battle Ebony was much stronger than Thanos. He single handedly beat Dr Strange with virtually no effort while Thanos had to use Infinity Stones against Strange.

I definitely would love to see the black orders origin story ,each of the members of it and Thanos origin story ..i wanna see these guys in MCU again...

Telekinesis is insanely power like you say psychokinesis when you can lift buildings, I mean in reality he could just crush their hearts inside their bodies, make their eyes pop out their blood to rush out from every orifice, if the enemy aint psychic themselves and can counter what the other guy does its pretty much gg, or putting up barriers blocking telekinesis. Iron man would stand zero chance against a psyker since armor offers no protection.
