Original furling boom on my 1968 Bristol 32 demonstration

1968 Bristol 32' A demonstration of how to use the original furling boom. Note the rust spot on the sail. That is Doyle sailmaker using steel staples to hold things in place and not removing them. I have 4 spost like that. To say the least, i won't be buying my sails from them in the future.

I have the same system on my 66 Pearson Triton. Haven’t yet tried to reef with it (just got the boat) to me it seems like a good way to do it. I like the idea of having no limitations on sail size (in theory). Done slab reefing before and I wouldn’t call that simpler.
