Origami Template Projects for Pottery! - Includes FREE TEMPLATES!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video Ann again draws inspiration from origami projects intended for paper but applied to clay. As a bonus, she also shares her FREE templates at the links below. These pottery projects are relatively easy and you can follow right along to make these functional pieces. The glazing and firing information is below as well. Otherwise, RELAX and enjoy this video!
All pieces were made from Standard English Porcelain #365, bisqued to Cone 04, and fired to Cone 5. The Nested Plates were glazed with Spectrum Light Beige #320. The Server Platter was painted with various Amaco Underglazes and coated with Amaco C-11. The white Condiment Bowl was glazed with Amaco Snow C-10.

Ann also creates sought after custom mugs that she paints exclusively for individual clients. If you would like to learn how Ann paints - check out her Video Workshop Series here. These workshops are very detailed (typically 1.5 - 2 hours in length) where Ann provides step by step instruction and are designed to help potters take their work to new levels of craftsmanship and artistry. vimeo.com/showcase/6725318

Ann, I love your use of origami in ceramic clay, what an inspiring idea! I am endlessly amazed at what human beings can make from clay. It has never failed to fill me with delight and wonder. I love your work, it shows your constant relationship with shape and form in all its variety. I think that is what makes your work so beautiful, graceful, and practical all at the same time. I especially loved the floral shaped dishes, and my other favourite was the graceful triangular dish. You are so gifted. Thank you for sharing your work with us. God bless you.

No short cuts. We experiment on the weekend, shoot video on Mon / Tues, edit and record scripts on wed / Thursday, (while bisquing and glazing), shoot final shots Friday and publish on Saturday am. It’s a labor of love really cuz the pay ain’t so great 😉. We remain inspired by folks like you that watch.
