How to make an origami Pentakis Dodecahedron

In geometry, a pentakis dodecahedron or kisdodecahedron is the polyhedron created by attaching a pentagonal pyramid to each face of a regular dodecahedron. So, the finished figure has 12x5=60 triangular faces and It's a good approximation to an origami ball.
This is a modular origami and the units are the same from my Excavated Dodecahedron. The assembly is also the same, except that the pyramids are convex instead of concave. The 30 units are well connected without glue. You can make it with or without the color changed edges depending on which side of the unit you use.
You can use the same unit to build other figures like the triakis icosahedron, triakis tetrahedron, triakis octahedron and tetrakis hexahedron for example.

How about more non-modular models? Haven't made the last few models since I am too lazy to fold 30 and lock it too. Lol
dude I'm so glad you're still making content. I used to be obsessed with your videos back in 2010 watching them on my moms computer and its crazy to see you keep on going, I still enjoy your content. you've actually had a heavy impact on me, if it werent for me having such a great interest in origami I dont know where I'd be. Origami has usually been a safe haven for me because I started it to get away from my parents divorce. It really served me as a fun activity to do to decorate a room, or impress friends or just overall get away from negativity. Thank you for everything you do.

DUDE IM REALLY SURPRISED, I feel exactly the same, origami has been a "safe place" for me since im like 8 years old (now 17) im not a master, i practice often, but its awesome the amount of people feeling things like this, Im super thankful with Jo, I hope he keeps going forever :)

eu tinha montado esse do nada quando tava encaixando as unidades hahaha, estava só aguardando o vídeo. tenho os três montadinhos aqui (o escavado no amarelo, o triakis no vermelho e o pentakis no azul), fiz com papel 4.0cm x 4.0cm, ficou uma belezinha. adorei esses que apresentam uma versatilidade de resultado final. Parabéns pelo trabalho :)

@@jonakashima There are many more benefits, I’ll just mention one more: -Instead of 60 units, here you need to make 30. Since mine was so fragile, it had to be taped from the outside just so that it can be kept on a table. I’m hoping to make this which seems very very strong, but 30 pieces of paper… I’ll have to think about it ;)
But it’s a lot of units :(
