Holy shit, this broke my heart into a million pieces and glued it back together again. Personally, I think Zim would easily be able to commit not-alive with his self-destruct button, but that would be pretty anticlimactic.

I don't know why but this just hits differently than from the rest of the Invader ZIM animatics I have seen. This was so beautifully made! I simply don't have the words to describe how I feel. I am so overwhelmed with emotions! I wasn't expecting to see bits of animation in this animatic. It was so well put together! We all know that Dib and Zim will never allow anything to happen to each other. In the movie, Zim gave up almost everything when he found out that the Tallest weren't coming, to the point where he would have allowed Dib to expose him to the world. I can see Zim wanting to disconnect his Pak (or self-destruct, just like when he nearly did in the first episode when he thought he was going to get caught) after hearing the truth from the Tallest themselves. Irkens are born to serve their leaders. Without that, they no longer have a purpose. So, it would have left him feeling so deeply frustrated, depressed and hopeless knowing that he no longer has his leaders to follow. I don't believe Dib would ever leave Zim to die, as in the canceled episode 'Mopiness of Doom', it shows that without each other, they don't have anyone else. They are so closely attached, that they started to care for one another, even if they won't ever admit it. I love that you included Gaz in this. I can see Gaz and Zim getting along quite well. I'm glad this showed up on my home page! Now I really want a fanfiction made of this! Thank you for sharing this masterpiece with us. This won't be the last time I'll be watching this.

How did you make an entire cohesive story in 3 minutes?! Also new IZ content in 2022?! I bow down to you. I watched like 4 times already. All the transitions are amazing but for some reason I’m fixating on Zims antennas moving at 1:59 for some reason it looks so natural blowing in the wind from the ship. A++ work

This is absolutely stunning and beautiful!!! I'm at a loss for words! The movements, their expressions, the fact that Dib saved Zim from committing suicide! All of it hit so deep especially the ending and how Zim didn't care anymore about Irk-related stuff given the experiences he's had on Earth. Honestly, thank you for making this vid and sharing it! You're talented af and I feel so lucky rn to have watched this animatic. :')

Incredible, loving the transition in 1:03 🤩🤩

2:25 Here is where I physically screamed YOOOOOO at my phone Zim really said “these bitches are empty…YEET YEET” and then the armada was like “Fuck, I guess we’ll go then…😳” But seriously this was so good!!! I loved all the interspersed memories of Zim, Dib, and Gaz just hanging out and being friends (I can never get enough of that content and I found myself pausing on those stills just to take in the good fluff 🥰) Also the more fully animated bits of this were so smooth and the boarding was so interesting and dynamic! My favorite sequences were when Zim stepped off the cliff (the breath he takes, the fist clench, his eyes rolling back and closing as he looks up is just…*chef’s kiss*) and of course the final confrontation with the tallest (the expression work, the pacing, the wind whipping Zim’s antennae, the awesome shot of him jumping from ship to ship with his pak legs 👀) Ok I’ll stop gushing for now, but this is definitely an animatic I’ll be watching again and again!
