Origami Finger Fidget Spinner - DIY Paper Hand Spinner Without Bearing - Easy Tutorial

A fun and easy DIY project: learn how to make a cool origami Finger Fidget Spinner with only 1 sheet of copy paper, without bearings, cuts, holes or glue. It takes only a few minutes to make this paper hand spinner, and it is very easy to make it spin.
The finger fidget spinner is a special type of hand spinner that spins around your finger, and you can make it spin for hours!
Origami Finger Fidget Spinner printable template
To make this DIY hand spinner, all you need is one sheet of copy paper (A4 size or Letter size). You can use plain white printer paper, or you can use my printable template on the origami.plus web site to choose your colors and print a ready to fold template.
Choose the colors of your spinner and then download and print the template. If you do not have a printer, you can fold a white sheet of paper and then color it after.
In the video I show how to fold the origami finger spinner using the printed template, but the folds are exactly the same if you use a white sheet.
It is very easy and fast to make this hand spinner, so you can make lots of them and make gifts for all your school or work place. Kids and adults as well will love it!
A lot of DIY fidget spinners are made with bearings, plastic, wood, glue, zip ties, caps, cardboard etc. For some you even need to melt gallium liquid metal in a plastic mould...
Don't have liquid metal at home? Me neither. My hand spinner is made completely out of paper, and there's no need to cut, to glue or to make holes in the paper. It is a pure origami spinner.
Important note: this origami Finger Fidget Spinner is an original origami model designed by Stéphane Gigandet protected by copyright laws. Do not publish videos, tutorials, diagrams, instructions etc. that show how to fold this fidget spinner, and instead link to this video or embed it. You can of course show the finished finger fidget spinner in your videos, social media etc. Just not how to fold it. Thank you!
To make the finger fidget spinner spin, just put it on your finger, and start spinning your finger. If you do it for a while, you can build strong muscles in your arm! (then you need to do it with your other hand too!).
Once you have folded your origami fidget spinner and practiced a bit, post a video of yourself to show how long you can make it spin!

Hi Stephane! Thanks again for housing me in Paris and taking me to Blois and back. It was wonderful to get to know you and your family! How's the juggling going? Thanks for the hours of in-car French instruction... Mais...Je ne me rappelle pas beaucoups! I had a wonderful trip! That's a clever fidget spinner design. I like how it's purely origami -- no cutting, gluing or piercing and no pencils, pins, or staples. It might be a bit too different from "real" fidget spinners, but who knows what kids will like! I've found that they're pretty picky, especially when it comes to fidget spinners! Cheers!

Hiya, I know I’m kinda late. But I would like to say that as a juvenile, this was surprisingly easy to fold! Mine turned out amazingly well! This is way cheaper than a normal fidget toy, and you don’t need a square paper. You should collaborate with Jeremy Shafer Origami. Can you challenge yourself and try making a bearing-less fidget spinner? Please, it would mean the world to me to have an origami artist take my idea into account. And to not forget, I am going to say that your channel needs a lot more support and love. I really hate to see a origami artist not being noticed. But then again, that’s the cruel world for ya.

You could try with a smaller rectangle maybe. When I spin it it eventually flies off as well, sometimes quite far in fact. :-)

Origami Plus - Easy Origami Tutorials what if we add another wing to the other side so that it'll be balanced and won't fly off or make like a mini hat that connects with the origami so that it won't fly off the top of your finger (it'll probably still fly off but might as well try)

Very interesting ideas. Maybe we could add another wing but I think a 2nd sheet of paper will be needed. 3 sheets to have 3 wings to make it look more like the real fidget spinners maybe.

Origami Plus - Easy Origami Tutorials you can try the golden snitch (but please not the one that people make with water bombs, that's not at all realistic) yeah, that's a great idea, can try the elder wand I think mandrakes would become too complicated, but you can always give it a try. you can do the scar sign. and a witch on a broom.(yeah I know it's done before and I've made one too) it'd be better if it has some harry potter tone in it. I think that's pretty much it, and thanks really for your reply whether you make these or not (still I'd be waiting of course) the replies matter A LOT!! Hope you come up with awesome modles!! 😇😀

when you had to pinch it it was too hard and I was sad.the only reason on why im making this is because I have a broken fidget :(

En fait l'accent français ne gène que les français. :-) J'ai vécu 5 ans en Californie (ce qui n'a amélioré en rien mon accent), et personne ne se plaignait de mon accent, d'ailleurs tout le monde en a un là bas. Je parle en anglais car la plupart de mes abonnés ne sont pas francophones (seulement 10% le sont).
