Origami Echidna by Steven Casey - Part 2 (FINAL PART)

Part 1: • Origami Echidna by Ste...
Let the folding start!
This animal that looks a bit like a hedgehog is converted to origami in an incredible way by Steven Casey. We are so happy he gave his permission for one of his absolute masterpieces. This video is in several parts which means it's not an easy model but the result is in our opinion totally worth it!
Diagrams can be found in COS 2015 (Czech Origami Society) or in the book 'Classic Origami #01: Echidna (www.amazon.com/Classic-Origam....
The paper that was used in the video and thumbnail was Tant paper from www.origami-shop.com, a paper that is very well suited for this echidna as it is not too thin and very strong.
Paper used in the video: Tant 50x50cm/ 19.7x19.7 inch (after paper change), 35x35cm/13.8x13.8 inch. The smaller paper would work to complete the model but in order to make it as clear as possible we changed to 50x50cm.
Level: Complex
Enjoy!

Hit the 30 min mark on this part but gonna call it for tonight. Here's praying I can finish it! This one's been a real challenge but thankfully shown in great detail and made easy(ish) to understand. Can't get too much harder now.....right????

I guess it can always be harder :p Glad to read you are eagerly working on this great model. It does need a lot of patience and a strong paper! I guess if you are already this far you will make it till the end!
Greetings from Russia! Интересно я один тут или всё же есть ещё люди в России увлекающиеся оригами... Thank you for the video! It is very cool!

I made it using Tant. I couldn't have done it without a combination of the video and the diagrams, so well done.

@@JMsOrigamiTutorials No, but thak You very much. It was not the matter of folding, it was the matter of time and... patience. I lack patience. Time, well... I'm getting ready for my concert soon and I'm also trying to do origami so the two are intertwining with each other. I am using a 50x50 sheet of satogami and with each 'thing' being folded there is a rain forest of sweat dripping down my face helping me wetfold (the sweat is me fearing that the paper will rip). If I manage to fold this I'll maybe post it on my IG as it said at the beginning of the video. Depending how horrible the origami will look 😅. Thank You for the clear tutorial and for offering help.

@@filipchetwynd7746 Yeah you can finish it later of course! It's often a good idea to let it rest a bit and finish it later!

@@JMsOrigamiTutorials ...I'm sorryfor asking. Kinda lost at 50:45 - 50:55. Is that a reverse fold, a mountain fold? I can't exactly figure it out.
