Not really. As Yakomonga said, gluing together some parts are acceptable for the modern origami. Cutting however, isn't.

Akash Kumar Yes. It would be possible to make a "flap into pocket" system to finish that last part, but it would be too complicated to achieve. That's why we use glue for those.

Kamiya doesn't use glue, he slides the flap in to lock.

Origami is actually just folding paper or somthing else into an object but if the glue is to make everything perfect is just fine (i think so)
