I met Norio Torimoto(one of the best origami artists in the world), and he just put them on the walls or in very many boxes

You can use normal paper just make is a square

you can leave it inside a book for a while or iroing it so the creases will set Or add a little paper clip to the back or inside

You should use an even paper, or better say a well measured paper because if the paper is odd even by millimeters it's going to mess everything just in the end.
