The lyrics even make more sense when contextualized into the situation they found themselves. Their band leader, Kabaka, suddenly quit the band, after secretly forming his own band. Kabaka had written 90% of the band's hit songs, so he assumed that, by forming his own band, he would no longer be splitting payments and or royalties for his songs with four other band members; he likely also assumed that his departure would doom the band and leave him as the lone prosperous and success story. On the contrary, his departure spurred immediate creativity spark in Warrior and Dan Satch, for they became sudden prolific songwriters. When they ask/sing, "oche sha mmanu wu ewu (did he think that humans are goats)", they were mocking Kabaka for underestimating the extent of human ingenuity. The thanking of God was not just because Kabaka left the band, it was also for his departure's immediate transforming of Dan Satch and Warrior into excellent musicians and songwriters, which might not have occurred had Kabaka stayed and solely wrote songs for them. Although Kabaka did great with his band, the Oriental Brothers outshined him by millions of miles. As the band split further over the years, Warrior ended up the most successful and popular of all the Oriental Brothers. Folks should wait from my book on the Oriental Brothers band...

Sir, is it true that one Kabaka's songs were talking of killing an Mbaise man first before the snake?

John : Although rumors have said so for decades, no such song was either released or played on any stage by Kabaka. I don’t think that Kabaka, who’s usually measured in speech, would say something so ignorant and polarizing. I intend to broach this subject matter when, and if, I interview them.
