Organic Farming Rooted in Hawaiian Traditions - CCOF Foundation Future Organic Farmer Lehia Apana
For Lehia Apana, organic farming is an act of cultural reverence. Lehia approaches farming her land at Polipoli Farms from a Native perspective, following the generations of Native Hawaiians before her who were master agriculturalists feeding themselves and their communities with island resources. Visit Polipoli Farms with her and learn about the financial and community support she received from the CCOF Foundation Future Organic Farmers program that allowed her to follow her calling and participate in organic farming courses rooted in Hawaiian traditions.
Help us support more organic farmers like Lehia.

We're grateful for all YOU do to support organic!
Lehia and Brad have worked so hard taking their land from jungle back to farmland. It's exciting to see the progress and the abundance of food they can grow using traditional Hawaiian practices. Listening to nature certainly is a good thing :)
