She’s the right kind of player too. I love how she’s willing to do anything the team needs to win. She also comes from a nontypical background, when it comes to D1 players. Great young Lady. She’s been a joy to watch play.

Oregon 100% fought hard, props to them. Keep going Sooners and dominant your way to win another championship title!

Yeah, Melyssa Lombardi certainly is a tremendous and excellent HC. The University of Oregon HC position was available back in 2019, and Lombardi's OU Coaching experience and being a former OU Player, helped her to be a good fit to become the Ducks Softball HC.

It certainly won't be an easy one for the Lady Sooners. They next face a very good Florida State Team led by HC Lonni Alameda on Thursday, May 23rd.

Getting these in 1080p would be great. For science.

That was a close game from the first pitch of the game. Two great teams with only one can advance to the Super Regional. Thankfully, it was the Lady Sooners who was able to come away with the W. Kudos to HC Melyssa Lombardi (former OU Softball Player, Assistant Coach & Associate HC) and the Oregon Ducks, valiantly played their hearts out, but just came up a bit short. I wonder if Oklahoma HC Patty Gasso will start P Kiersten Dial next Thursday, Game 1 (best of 3) vs. Florida State in the Super Regional??? 🤔 Thanks Matt, for the terrific highlights! #BoomerSooner G🥎 🥎U!

Go SOONERS! May and Maxwell kept the Oregon hitters from getting too loose - excellent work in the circle. But defensive 'bobbles' - arrggghhh! Yes, we won but it didn't feel good. Felt like we fell back into the old hitting mindset that caused at least 3 of the 6 losses against good pitchers - Texas and OSU. Sanders: 0-3; Brito: 1-3; Jennings: 1-3; Hansen: 1-3; Parker 1-3. We all know: "You can't mail it in." You've got to want the championship. I don't mind losing in a good fight while giving your best effort. But just 'glad to be here' does not feel good. In comparison, Texas wants it and they especially want to take it from the SOONERS! Thanks, Matt. Excellent work.

Yes indeed. The Lady Sooners players that your mentioned, needs to improve soon before the Super Regionals start in 4 days if OU wants to continue in the NCAA College Softball Tournament and increase their chances of winning their 4th Natty in a row. There's still lots of softball to be played and Oklahoma needs vast improvement at the plate and on defense.

She transferred to Nebraska (her home state). She got injured in the beginning of the season
