One things this makes me think of immediately is combining it with handgrinders for travel/camping coffee. I’d love to see how that tighter grind size can be well achieved by a couple popular handgrinders you have.

I’ve had a lot of experience with the V60 and clever, but no flat bottomed pour overs. Would you recommend this over the Kalita wave as a flat bottomed option? I am not worried about travel, just kitchen brewing.
Kyle, is there a carafe you'd recommend to pair with the Orea? I want to get something with a small enough opening to hold the Orea securely.
Great video, Kyle! The multi-pour principles also came up in Lance Hedrick's most recent V60 recipe video. Would love to get your take on it. Maybe not worth a whole video to review it, but maybe an Insta post or something would be cool to see.
can you compare this to april brewer? or brew this with april pourover method?
OMG $70 USD! The Kaita wave smallest is similar size. Why would this be so different @KyleRowsell? The Kalita is 1/2 the price. I also saw a tiny one-cup travel pour over Kalita Mini Manuel. May make an interesting video to test these small traveling brewers now that we can travel again (sorta!).
Always amazing Kyle, pretty sweet method mixed with the Ethiopian coffee omg. What is the name of the magazine?

Newbie here, what is multipore (or how does it spell it?) coffee brewing technique?
There is also another tiny dripper produced by ninety plus coffee. It was designed for brewing their 10gram batches they sell their coffee in
I think this is great. I struggle to get a strong cup from pourovers because of the need to keep the grind size large enough to avoid stalling. I always want to grind finer than a V60 will let me
I just did a video on Pacific Packers Coffee- Portable pour over for camping. Coming from leather lover I definitely approve of this!

I have seen quite a few smaller one, if you count those foldable v60 kind. V60 filter paper is easy to carry around too.
I love my Kalita Waves, but traveling with those filters in some non-crushable container would, for me, take up too much space. I’m sticking with the Aeropress Go when out and about.
I love gadgets. so as long as something looks good and is functional I'm interested

A necklace I bought at a favourite clothing brand. Not too sure 🤷🏻♂️
The Vietnamese Phin is a similar sized coffee brewer. It has 3 parts and does not use paper filters.
I love the idea of this thing. Craftsmanship alone. Solid aluminum wrapped in a hunk of leather sounds like something I would contrive. That said, I’m pretty sure my Vietnamese Phin is a smaller pour over brewer than this - not nearly as cool, though).
Cool brewer! To me, the Aeropress is still better for travel because you don't need a gooseneck to properly brew with it.
Very curious to try! I still think the Bripe is better for traveling.
@KyleRowsell

Is the bripe ever actually “better” than anything other than being ridiculous? 🤔
@mathieulanglois8790

@@KyleRowsell it's definitely ridiculous! But, it's amazing when you don't have an heat source (and you don't need fake facial hair to use it).
It seems enormously similar to the Fellow Stagg Pour-Over Dripper
That leather sleeve is pure class! Looks like Orea neither sells the aluminum model nor the leather sleeve any longer though :(
What about the Munieq Tetra pour over cone? It's 3 pieces that lay flat and takes 5 seconds to set up. Also way cheaper.
Waiting for my Orea to arrive soon I hope ^^v
Stagg X review soon please:))
Reminds me of the Goldbean Gabi Master A without the controlled drip attachment...

Standart is amazing. So glad to be able to partner with them.
I can imagine this could work as a lifetime brewer. Particularly the lether band will look great when it patinas. Just it needs to be hydrated from time to time to not urn in dust
U should try the vietnamese phin. Practically the opposite of the Orea in terms of brewing time. But it is also compact and it doesn't use paper filters (yayyy environment)
The only way I brewed that Lot 61 coffee was with the Orea!

Leather shroud on a brewer makes nooo sense IMO. Seems like it's really just trying to take advantage of this camping luxury aesthetic. CNC'd aluminium is pure overkill when something like the aeropress is nearly as light and pretty much as indistructible. Still, sure plenty of people will dig it
