I don’t know about this restaurant specifically, but that’s Arabic food and I live for that stuff. The “Arabic quesadilla” is actually called Mutabbak, and it comes with different stuffings, both sweet and salty. The dough is usually thin. Those nuts do look bad, but normally you’d sprinkle fresh nuts and raisins on top of the rice and add some yoghurt with it. As for the Areekah, it’s made with brown flour and dates and covered with creme. It’s usually made for breakfast. I recommend you try Arabic food at a good-rated restaurant, I bet you’ll enjoy it. 😅

@@AMOraha Many people do not like raisins, and for western taste buds it is especially odx on savoury food. Probably that is the reason they keep it seperate... I wished they would order the same dishes for someone who knows Arabic food and see if it is actually that bad....

I think this is more traditional food people aren’t used to / mixing ingredients you don’t expect but it can actually be pretty good. Like the ‘dish soap’ rice might have coriander in it which is know to sometimes give that soapy flavour to people who aren’t fans. Also the cucumber yogurt typically follows something spicy to help calm your tongue and such (especially if there is spicy chicken) I assume that’s also what the ‘milk ingredients’ drink was for.

Yes, they go over the rice. Since some people like a little and some love a lot, it’s kept seperately so that u can put in the amount you like.

the soapy taste u often get in cheap nor organic foods today, not just rice, is because of the abd chemicals and other shit theya re soaked and shipped in etc, some get treated with things to make it last longer etc. That what gives it that soapy taste. u get it a lot in certain candy too. Its pure poision and should not be eaten. The owner of that place gets the cheapest of the cheapest, not thinking about making actual food or making it taste good, just wanting a living wage or easy profit as long as it lasts :(
