This was the game that introduced me to the mmorpg genre 9-10 years ago when I was only 12/13 I’m 22 now and have had many experiences with other mmos pc/console/mobile but none hit the nostalgic itch quite like OaC it was way ahead of its time back then and like you said still is better than some titles today. Thanks for inspiring a community bro and thanks to the community for all the experiences ✌🏽

I am 15 and I played this sometimes when I was younger.. I came back and enjoyed it (never played it actively tho) Sad its shutting down but heads up and thanks for all the memories 🤍😇

It is sad news, but we will keep the beautiful memories and friends we made there. OaC wasn't just a "game" it was an MMORPG that marked a generation and it wasn't perfect but we loved it.

Man I still remember the good old times; farming scanner boss for a billion times only for the scanner to drop and somebody else to get it, almost having a heart attack the first time I actually got it, finding chill people to help me with scanner weapon boss (Li whatever her name was), having somebody teach me how to clip out of maps/discovering new spots by myself... I just wish I got to the late late game stuff like monkey boss but oh well... It's such a shame how dirty they did this fantastic game

OaC was my childhood. Literally just downloaded a Gameloft game a few hours ago and remembered that I know this logo very well. Then I started searching for this game again, took me a few times as I tried searching it in the App Store. It never showed up. Then I search in the "owned" games section. There it was. I clicked on it and I couldn't download it anymore, I literally got so confused. Didn't take me long to end up here, but hearing this is so suprising and saddening the same time. I really should've given it more attention the past few years when I still had the proper chance to, but man :(

Oh man me and my friend in highschool grinded the shit out of this game always playing until 4 am and falling asleep the next day in school. Haven't played it in years but still sad to hear that they will shut down, to me this game is what early world of warcraft is for many other gamers. Lots of amazing memories, friendships and sweet victories when finally beating that boss or climbing up that pvp ladder. 1000s of hours invested and I don't regret a single one of it.

i just learned right know thanks to this video that the game was shutted down. i was trying to play it a minute ago but wasn't working so i searched why and here it is... i'm devastated, such a masterpiece, to end like that.... so sad....

I searched O&C on a whim for nostalgia today and it's sad to see it go. My best achievement in the game was probably taking the first place in one of the most dungeon runs on leaderboard events and taking the first place after fighting my urge to sleep and falling asleep in the middle of a run. I think it was pink cat ears or a tail ? Only for the 2nd or 3rd place be the cool steps which made me a little dejected lol. Good times man, good times. I'll miss it.

Oh god I remember the best times I spent in this mobile game. I was really happy playing in the "Notorious" guild with your "Levelz" guild and also openworld pvp against you Speedy as a raidboss ;D

Ive written them an email about closing oac2 and not oac1. As far as i know the playerbase there is even less, PVP doesnt work (so there is no endgame kind of) and you can dupe/glitch pretty much everything (even runes). How do they want to generate refevenue lol? In oac1 you have to at least buy stuff here and there or ask gl to send vanitys and the take your runes. They could make oac1 so much more enjoyable with little tweaks like making a good bm rotation, fixing events and give nice items, weekly events and maybe 1-2 new vanitys a year, add tophy level next to the name so people see what you achieved and maybe do a classic server. Surely thats in budget if they shutdown oac2 and heroes of oac. Obviously fixing speedhack and server syncing would be nice as well (or just give rayan IP ban)

hey spid, u may not remember me, i used to call myself dragonsarmy in game, used to be part of levelz. I guess u can only remember some of our play time together doing some dungeons and events, but because of your vid, i just learned that oac is closing. I thank you for making a vid and stating a point at gameloft just closing and not giving a single fuck at us, and sadly i'll miss my archer deeply, with so much money and time invested in it Wish you all the best

Man I miss this game so much, forgot I even uploaded a dungeon run on this account 9 years ago now… time flies man. Nothing with ever match the dopamine and shakiness I got when I looted the Lava Staves staff , was 3rd mage in Whispering Islands IOS to get it. Good ass times man

This was the best mmorpg game in history someone needs to buy this game and remake it exactly the same with new graphics and content I'm there all day

It was my 1st MMO, a true masterpiece. Now it's only memories, but freaking good memories.

This game was amazing! So many hours spent killing monsters or just relaxing in the forest with friends. The worlds were perfectly sized and didn’t feel like you were endlessly running around. PvP was really fun also

So blessed to have played this game for years growing up but I am so sad those days are gone :( I cant even play mmos on pc. Nothing comes close to this

I remember that when I watched your old video on oac1 (I began when there was only t3 and s2 sets😢😢😢) made me create a warrior and play with it so much (I played also with all classes but mostly with ranger, warrior and monk) Goodbye oac1 goodbye old memories

I also remember the best bug ever where you glitch out a map to kill rabbits which gave you free pets XD

Nice. There was also a bug in AGL that allowed you to go glitch out of the map and travel straight to the last boss. Another one was in a castle in the last map area I think, there was a wall you could clip through and end up inside the walls and below the entire castle

Just remembering the memories made in and on the game, played from 2012 to 2015 and stopped.

Is oac2 also shutting down or just the first one? I see people over on oac2 redemption. I downloaded it 3 days ago to check it out. So far it seems pretty active at least for the dungen que for low level I'm not sure about higher. But I'm in a guild with level 55s. Seems pretty active in the guild there's at least 20 people or more online in the guild a day. And i still see people questing. I'm not sure about other servers

Since they released the information, every time i logged the message was appearing, but it is no longer doing it. Even tried to log an acc which i didn’t log for a years and still it don’t appear. This make a little hope in my heart

man, i missed this game LMAO. I used to play when i was extremely young, like 7-8, and played with my dad. I didn’t do much content wise but i did capture lots of mounts and was so close to capturing all lions and deers. Tried downloading it but it wasn’t on the store, rip, but it gave me really good memories. RIP OAC

I’ve played this game with my family. It was some of the best fun I’ve ever had with my family. It had some of my favorite memories on that game.

This was the best mmo on iOS and android I don’t think anything comes close but RuneScape mobile, it was well made and one of the most fun parts was catching mounts, I think one part that always caused the down fall of this game was the fact that it had a lot of glitches and hackers, people used speed hacks in arena and speed hacks to farm gold, then at one point this app was released on android that let you get gems for free, it was called freedom or something, people used it and sold gems to other players for gold and most of them got banned and never returned, and after that there was a sync glitch that caused people to duplicate gold, I still have max gold on 10 toons and 3 accounts stored lol, had a ton more I can’t remember, best thing u can play now is RuneScape osrs or just Remote Desktop and play wow classic

I remember my zombie tank character 😭 I used to love tanking and taking all the damage. At least I got to enjoy every boss in the game and maxed everything out 😢, I love the idea of having dps, tank, healer

It was only a $5 a month subscription and it was worth it. After it went free to play it was over. 😔

OaC was an odd mmo for me, I first discovered it when I was wondering the Microsoft Store looking for apps for my Surface RT, Picked it up as well as Heros because the fact that I could even play an MMO and a MOBA on the device surprised me. Unfortunately I ultimately put both games down because my friend wanted me to try RIFT with him. I still played occasionally but wasnt feeling it too much. A few years later I pulled out the tablet to see what I could do with it oddly, one of the few things I could still do with it was play OaC, the other games were already shutdown but the server for OaC was still up surprisingly, and it was even the same version I played several years ago. I honestly think Gameloft forgot this game existed, yet alone the Windows version. I played most of my experience on this game with an old version 2.6 so Flame Knight wasnt even a thing. I oddly fell in love with it and wished I had given the game more time when it was new. In 2021 when Microsoft Shut down Windows Mobile I believe this server went with it. I messed around on Android a few times after this, the server was obviously must more popluated (surprisingly so) but I will admit the experience had changed alot with the newer versions, everything from Skill Trees to the speed and way you leveled. While I still enjoyed the core of the game it felt like it was just trying to rush me to my wallet. I havent checked the state of the Amazon Server but I assume there will be similar issues ether it being shut down or connection problems in the near future.

Amazon server are on 3.3.1 with the fk realease update and old trees, Hope they dont shut down that version too

I played this game right from the beginning. Best mobile game ever, i missed my guild Chosen haha.

Despite how bad the community order and chaos was. Drama, scamming, revenge porn, cyber bullying, sexual harassment in Kik chat, the game itself was wonderful and build my childhood. It’s sad to see this game is shutting down, but it’s probably for the best so this game can lay to rest

When the very first dungeon came out (Relics Key) I knew this game will be fucking special. Farming Knahswahs Prison like crazy to get the Vorpalsword... then more and more dungeons came out and the game got better and better But everything ends someday i guess, when the big banwaves came, like the gem dupe bug where whole servers got wiped out, many players left and so I quit one day aswell I miss this game so much, GL should make a O&C Classic version like WoW did, that would be cool ( and p2w for sure also sadly lol) Hrothgar / Stormcap/AF

I remember back in 2011 when they introduce montly payment (since the pc game they were copying on was doing it) and the community hate it so much they had to remove it completely. Bought this game for around 10 bucks sunk hundred of hours with my brother. Simple time where mtx werent even a thing. Sad to heard the news only today ;(

It was a great game. I have very fond memories of farming the t3 on the subterranean world with the guild of the time.

This game was awesome at first, but people started crashing the server to duplicate gold. This caused the guild, and everyone on my friends list to quit. And then they changed the lvling, and made quest mobs super easy to kill. They also nerfed low lvl dungeons so you no longer needed a tank, and healer. This is probably because the player base was drastically reduced.

If it doesn't shut down I'll start playing again

its funny seeing players that were still active in this video that i played with like 10 years ago. Bella. seeing ARENA still around was funny too. and all the other massive guilds like levelz, wonder if syndicate was still around.

The chance gameloft going to re made oac 1 or re -deploy it,is 0. Another weird thing,some day ago window Popped up for me in oac 1 to download oac2 and receive a gift in feb.24. Well, how if that game same going to shut down..:D Anyway ,i think you should try catch up ppl in dc and make a final oac content. Something similar like in wow. Mount off competition,tmog,etc.

I absolutely loved this game but stopped playing because it was clear gameloft wasn’t adding new content. Sad 😢

Your right, the engine is old but your wrong año the developers they don’t need the old ones. They would need a lot of money though and they would probably need to break the game down and redo it with a newer engine.
