I put this on thinking it was a grindcore act of the same name. When i saw the tambourine and the tight pants and sideburns I had to keep watching. This is AWESOME

This is the first to come across these guys. And I'm pretty fucking impressed, and kinda pissed I didn't hear about them sooner. WTF Yeah singer is something special!

My favorite new / old band. Freaky Groovy Cool.

These guys are tight as hell. Im old enough to have witnessed the real Sabbath Tjese guys do have their own sound. Listen to the drum and bass parts closely. The drummer fills differently than Ward and the bass player clutches different ly than Butler does. Bass plsyer is one of the best around right now. Lead Singer is tremendous one of the best ive.heard in a good long time

Sounds like a mix of Dio and the singer of Coheed and Cambria with vocal voicings as Ozzy would have done it. He has a good voice, especially by stoner/Doom band standards, but hardly the best around...

I totally agree with you. The singer is one of a handful that I´ve experienced so far, that is live as good as on cd

This is the best hard rock band since the early 90's. Finally a REAL singer after too many years of pathetic primitive growlers (c)rappers and assorted garbage!

Completamente obsesionado con esta banda!!!!!

They really get into a groove after the first couple of tunes and the crowd is won over by Silent One. I still think the guitar could do with more distortion but that's just me. Great vocal performance - almost like the records.

Just brilliant, trad doom metal done the way it should be, melodic and mid-paced. Sabbath and Witchfinder General were the best doom bands ever, and these guys are following in their footsteps.

Wow. Sounds fantastic. Guitar sound not the greatest but otherwise great live recording. Great vocals, bass... Love these guys. Great stuff.

No, I don't restrict myself. I'm also a fan of the older folk bands, bluegrass country, hard and psychedelic rock, progressive rock, and various other groups. As for the misogyny, no. That's no more discriminatory than saying the word dick. It's a vulgar slang term for the female genitalia, much as cock and dick are for the male one. What I meant when I said golden age, was the golden age for this strain of metal. Regardless of all, I'd take a thousand of these bands rather than today's music. Additionally, they named themselves after a Black Sabbath song of the same name (functioned as the intro to Lord Of This World) and have based themselves on the sludgy doom rock/proto-doom metal foundation that the godfathers laid down. You may think your hardcore punk band is original, but without Black Sabbath creating screeching vocals, and heavy, guitar driven songs, the other Orchid wouldn't be anywhere special. As for concerns of masculinity, I have no need to fear. This is the postergenre for maleness. And I only said anything about masculinity once. You'd be wise to learn to read, and abandon that Doctor Phil bullcrap. Point being, this band mimics a sound that is it's own genre. Let's put this in your terms. You saying this band sounds like countless others is like me saying that Pierce the Veil and Sleeping With Sirens sound the same. Just because they incorporate some of the same themes doesn't make them the same. This applies here. Of course it sounds similar to other bands, it's in the same genre! And why would you come to watch this video if all you were gonna do was bitch and moan in the comments like a little baby with a bellyache? I've seen more self control in a sugar rushing toddler than what there is here. You mask your true intent with woven words and redirected, exaggerated versions of previous statements. I hope you find a way to live with your deafness, but don't listen to your family with those ears, touch them with your fingers, or watch them. Don't even kiss them, lest your unique brand of stupidity is contagious.

Risky business being totally sabbath derivative, could’ve been hacky, this lot do it so it so well they get away with it with flying colours, they seem to have a knack to create legendary songs like the brummy boys themselves. Always dug this band.

Them, Graveyard, and Witchcraft are amazing (even though the singer in witchcraft isnt amazing live).

Yes, they really rip the best out of the mighty sabbath corpse. Carry on with it! You are fucking great. To the drummer: listen to Bill Ward more carefully. If you manage to recapture the swinging style of him, Orchid will probably sound more authentic than the current incarnation of the original Sabs does with Thommy C. behind the kit. ... I know. It is difficult. But meanwhile you can listen to magically isolated drumtracks of Bill Ward via youtube. That should help.
