Hi, I was wondering, if I see a brown spot at the tip of one leaf and in the middle of another leaf what does this mean? And what should I do?

What should I do if I have like cut mark on my oldest phal it’s on one of the oldest leaf but the leaf looks pretty good except for that cut place which I didn’t do that it’s like it’s too heavy n it cuts itself I’m always careful when I put it in the bathtub to wet it so do I need to cut it off even though it looks good
I've committed unforgivable sins against my poor orchids, but they keep growing and surviving. Thanks to your videos I'm now treating them with love and respect... let's hope they don't all die of shock!

Wow, I've learned so much after watching only 3 of your videos about orchid care! Easy to understand and highly informative. Thank you, young lady.
After watching you and having success in my first phal starting a new leaf and acting happy with the way I'm watering and feeding it, I felt comfortable enough to buy myself another one for Mother's Day !

This is an informative grouping! Thank you so much. I work in a garden center where there are orchids, and I want to raise some that lost their flowers... we thought them dead, but your videos have taught me so much! Thank you for this.
Now i'm not worried knowing that my bottom yellow leaf is normal & not diseased. Thank you !!!!

Thank you for your videos! Since I found them not long ago, I have discovered that a brand new Phalaenopsis, still in flower, was suffocating in its pot - most roots gone! Same with an older one which had never rebloomed. Moss media in both. Used a bark media mix to repot both and they are looking better already (and the flowering one is still flowering!). Used your watering and care tips for another one (the one that almost killed my other orchids when it came into my house with mealy bugs hiding in the media). Three years after treating it (and the others) and repotting all of them it finally has a flower stalk! One of the other mealy bug infected ones is now getting a new leaf. Just one is still in recovery but will probably do so. You are great!
Thank you Danny, you answered a question I had and I feel better now! Another great video!
Such happy and beautiful glossy leaves!
Your descriptions are incredibly clear and your follow through answers my questions before I have to ask. 😆 Thank you so much!

Hi Danni! i had to come by today (well, I visit everyday to watch at least one video) to "Thank You" for the cool way you show us how to re-pot orchids. I tried the bark/sphagnum moss method this week and it is keeping my orchids nice and hydrated enough where I did not have to water them everyday. I actually didn't mind watering them each day (well, I only have 2 orchids at the moment) but sometimes life happens and I could not get to it. Problem solved with sphagnum moss!! :) Now, I will work on trying to get them to bloom this year. :) .....more to learn, and more videos to watch. Thanks Danni (...and please, if you see this, please let me know if I am spelling your name correctly haha). :)

Yaay happy to hear you're more relaxed with your orchids now! There's is no correct way of spelling my name since it's not an English name, but I make it sounds like it lol so spell it however you like. I spell it like Danny, looks more intriguing 😂 (in reality it should be Dani, which is boring lol)
Thank you❤
Thank you 🙏
Thank you 😘
I am learning so much about phalaenopsis care that I now only buy in the discount section, (so I get them with the pretty ceramic decorative pot at 50% off), and I save them 80% of the time.

Be careful sometimes they're discounted because they might have a problem- in one of Danny's videos she found snails - II bought a cheap Orchid and they had cleaned it up but when I got it home it had scale ( look that up) spread like wildfire so check them over good.
Thanks for this helpful video!!! I'm in the carnivorous plant hobby but i decided to tap into the orchid hobby too and I don't want to kill my new orchid

Carnivorous Plants And Gardening Congrats! 🎉
Great video, very simple and concise. I grow in zone 7, indoors, under a grow light. This Spring I repotted most of my 50 orchids in live orchid grade sphagnum moss. The growth and blooms have been fantastic. Just wondered what your growing conditions are?
@MissOrchidGirl
4 жыл бұрын
Hi, we don't really use zones here, but my climate is subtropical Mediterranean :) I do maintain my grow space with an air conditioning unit though :)
i recently given 4 orchids, 2 phalaenopsis, 1 mini phalaenopsis and one i believe to be a cattleya. i often rescue plants but As much as i love and know about plants, i'm mostly into succulents. i'm binge watching your videos to know everything. Is there a way i can send you pictures of these orchids for your advice? thank you
Thank you :)
thank you
You could do a test on wood vinegar. I recently tried it with great doubt that it would work but it seems to push alot of growth in terms of roots.
Thank you for your videos. I have been learning a lot. Question: Why do a leave flip bottom side up and can it be corrected.
Thanks
Thank you vidio alk
Awesome
I love your videos☺️. Question? How compact should I allow the roots to get inside the pot before I repot and upscale to a bigger pot?

I feel like if it looks like I just bought it from a store then the roots are compact
Repot me has a sale this week on their mixes 10 percent off.
I use filtered water and so far so good but may switch to distilled
Thanks to you, I have now 1 year with my orchid 🥰🥰🥰 thank you sooo much! I just have one question, today I repot it because is growing up, the thing is... I put the outside roots inside the new pot, and now I see that I need to let it be like that, I am worry 😭 did I messed up??? Should I repot again and take those roots outside? Heeelp
Sorry I commented on last video about moth orchids this may help
Hey Danny! I have a question, do you happen to have an email address or a way that I could send you a picture of a summer blooming Phal that I think has some sort of fungal infection? I wanted to get your opinion on what you think I should do? Thanks so much for what you do, you are a joy to watch and listen to!! Thank you!!
Thank you for your videos they are so informative, Would you recommend repotting if you repotted about a month ago and found out they are in a pot with no ventilation but good drainage? I am in two minds because the lower leaves are starting to yellow but the upper ones are green with roots green and sprouting out, I would appreciate any help for growing my first orchid, thanks in advance ❤
