Thank you for this video. My daughter bought an orchid, put it in the shower, and it very promptly started dying off. I took it out, planted it in orchid mixture, and am pleased to say that i have got a new leaf, and even 2 stems with flowers ! I am SOOO excited! I just have one question - the leaves seem to look dehydrated - what is the cause of this please?

You'll want to ensure there's ample airspace within the potting medium. Once you've positioned the orchid in its new pot, carefully pour the orchid mix around the plant's roots, using a dowel or blunt object to gently work the material between the roots.

What is wrong if you have white powder on new leaves or on stem??? or when leaves wilt??? How can I help these issues??? Thanks

Double-check that the white powder you see on your orchids is not mealybugs. They are a very small, fluffy white insect that appears to be almost powder-like. Use a wet paper towel to remove the substance. I've cut the stem off on my Orchid. Will a new one grow?

Yes, it may take some time but eventually it will begin to grow new stems.

I would suggest to remove any withered leaves and begin bottom watering.
