Honestly I felt they were relatively tame, the subject matter is incredibly dark, but I guess I'm desensitized to seeing those kinds of things, in regards to man's capacity for war in the modern age. Maybe I've been through it too much and now it just seems normal to me.
This is the stuff of metal that should be getting Grammy nominations. This is hands down one of the best metal songs of 2023. Way to close out the year, guys.

@@djlancer88 Most people should start off easy with stuff like metalcore - bands like architects (All our Gods have Abandoned Us, Holy Hell), or progressive metalcore if you like music that sounds very complicated - invent animate, erra, imminence, then I'd go for some heavier stuff like death metal - gojira is a great example, then you could try getting into deathcore, djent etc, You could start off with the heavy stuff but in my own experience, most heavy music sounds way too rough when you have not built up tolerance with milder stuff, started off with linkin park, now I am so deep into heavy shit - batushka, white ward, crown magnetar, signs of the swarm, humanity's last breath, vildhjarta

probably the best song I've heard in a couple years. so fkin good!
Goosebumps & Tears.
Besides that this song is a fucking "banger", the lyrics on this one go so deep. Underpinned by the music video, this song feels like an immense criticism of the supposed solution to problems through violence and war. While we continue to serve the system behind, the great believed problems of each individual are thus made void. Love this song. And this band! 🖤

Humans are selfish, we all want to live, despite being forced to serve in a war, we all believe we'll survive it until the end. The same goes for standing up to an oppressor, even if an attempt at a coup is started, the fear of getting caught or even if the coup succeeds, still mean that the coup planners end up dead in the end. All of this feat is just an endless loop. In school we learn that humans have no natural enemies, well we do, it's other humans and ourselves.
