At Syracuse University, Harriette “Hattie” Line Thompson began a career as a concert pianist as well as an enduring, 67-year marriage to fellow alum Sydnor Thompson ’47. Then at age 76, she started running marathons to raise money for leukemia and lymphoma research-something she’s still doing today.
