Make these at home, you will love them! They taste even better the next day. Here is the recipe: Ingredients: 2 sticks of salted butter, softened (if using unsalted butter just add a dash of salt to the batter) 1 cup of powdered sugar a good dash of vanilla extract 2 cups of all purpose flour the zest from 1.5 oranges Directions: In a mixing bowl combine your sugar with your flour. Add the butter, first diced into chunks to make it easier to mix, the vanilla and orange zest. Mix with your hands as this requires a great deal of working in. At first your batter will be crumbly but in only 5-10 minutes it should form into a nice dough. Roll out half of an inch thick. Cut out or stamp to your desire. If using a stamp be sure to flour the stamp first as this makes the stamp come out clean without distorting the pretty image. Place on a sheet and put in a freezer for at least 1 hour. Once ready, put the cookies on some parchment paper and bake in a 320 degree F (160 C) oven for 20-25 minutes depending on the quanity of cookies. For the amount and size shown in the video I baked them for 23 minutes. Remove once done and put on a cooling rack. They will harden some once out of the oven so do not cook till hard. Enjoy! You can subsitute orange zest for lemon zest if you prefer.

But she is greedy not to give the cat the left butter from the spoon. She didn’t use the butter herself, and the poor cat didn’t get it as well. That’s her greedy nature, she did it subconsciously. Can’t be cured.

No where can I find her chili sauce, I have tried many, but if you have any idea of it, she was raised on the McCabe plantation of Tennessee. All my aunts and uncles, including my dad can never make it like she did with the recipe. Every Sunday my Grammy mad both a ham and roast beef, Oh yes she also used dutch ovens. The ham was served with her chili sauce, itsogood!
