It’s so cool to see his talent outside of worship. He’s obviously known for worship but this man is so underrated. I’d honestly love if you came out with more non worship patches. Maybe some fusion, jazz, funk, blues, progressive/djent, super high gain etc. I’m already loving the patch, been playing to underoath and august burns red all morning haha

I totally agree. Plus, as this video proves, David is also versatile. Not many people can switch between Ambient worship and Heavy stuff like this with virtuosity.

Sounds great. I think this was the video that pushed me over the fence in deciding whether or not to buy a Stomp.

I just purchased this patch. I have used that doubling effect with a side chain delay. It works. But what worked better for me was the TC Electronics MIMIQ Doubler pedal. I just sold it because Line 6 Helix has an effect now called "Double Take." It sounds and works just like the TCE MIMIQ. Check it out.

This is the first time I've seen anyone play metal on a Veritas Portlander. Some of those riffs you played were killer. That one riff you played at 3:20 sounded like Switchfoot and Mark Tremonti. Great job.

I have the Lambertone Cremas pickups on my Les Paul. Do you have any advice to tweak this preset to get the most out of it?

As far as I know, the Rockverb amp is more associated a Planetshakers tone on their older songs since Orange Rockverb is Joth Hunt's fave amp.

Anberlin is too good mang. I have Christian McAlhaney's personal double cutaway Les Paul hanging on my wall. Nice playing I'm gonna check that patch out

*Edit: after playing for about 2 hours the patch is fire man. Its a perfect 50/50 patch for playing some harder stuff but still being able to play P&W with. I'm way lazier now and I dig just being able to use the volume knob on my LP to just control the cleans/crunch on the fly. I was vibing on some old Lifehouse "No Name Face" and the RV is perfect for that sound. If you haven't picked this patch up yet DO IT!!

Will be making killer Helix presets like this one? I use this patch at church with some tweaks to fit me - this a great sounding patch for sure - some kind of a killer patch with a swells snapshot

First I was like... “Switchfoot!” Then I was like “Underoath!” Then I was like “anberlin!” Anyway, this patch is definitely sick. Also, appreciate that you’re not a one trick pony.

Hey David!! Thanks so much for the video. You mentioned about if you don’t have 2 cables plugged in the helix it will sum to mono and to fix that plug a cable into the right output so if I’m only sending one line to FOH can I just cut the xlr connector from the cable and plug it into the “right” output so that way I don’t have a long cable just hanging there?? Thanks

Yes, you can do that. The helix just wants to see something plugged in and that’s all it takes for it to not sum to mono.
