- The City of Orange is a township in Essex County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the township's population was 30,134, reflecting a decline of 2,734 (−8.3%) from the 32,868 counted in 2000, which had in turn increased by 2,943 (+9.8%) from the 29,925 counted in the 1990 Census.
Orange was originally incorporated as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on November 27, 1806, from portions of Newark Township. Portions of the township were taken on April 14, 1834, to form the now-defunct Clinton Township. On January 31, 1860, Orange was reincorporated as a town. Portions of the town were taken to form South Orange Township (April 1, 1861, now known as Maplewood), Fairmount (March 11, 1862, now part of West Orange), East Orange Township (March 4, 1863) and West Orange Township (April 10, 1863). On April 3, 1872, Orange was reincorporated as a city. In 1982, the city was one of four Essex County municipalities to pass a referendum to become a township, joining 11 municipalities that had already made the change, of what would ultimately be more than a dozen Essex County municipalities to reclassify themselves as townships in order take advantage of federal revenue sharing policies that allocated townships a greater share of government aid to municipalities on a per capita basis. The city derives its name from William III of England or William IV, Prince of Orange.
Despite the differences in the character of the municipalities, Orange is often joined with neighboring East Orange, South Orange and West Orange and referred to as part of "the Oranges".
East Orange is a city in Essex County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census the city's population was 64,270, reflecting a decline of 5,554 (−8.0%) from the 69,824 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn declined by 3,728 (−5.1%) from the 73,552 counted in the 1990 Census. The city was the state's 20th most-populous municipality in 2010, after having been the state's 14th most-populous municipality in 2000. The Census Bureau's Population Estimates Program calculated that the city's population was 64,367 in 2019, ranking the city the 590th-most-populous in the country.

Thank you for this! I felt as if I was driving around myself, watching this. You passed my some of my old neighborhoods, mom’s job, where she’s buried, and ended off at the last place I lived in Newark. It was bittersweet, yet exciting and refreshing to watch. Thank you 🙏🏾
Hey, you showed right where I was born at 115 Central Ave. right across the street from Orange Park. I was born in 1940. Sure brings back memories. And of course you drove past my old high school as well. Cool, and thanks!
My old stomping grounds many good memories here. 💛💛💛😘😎

Good for you.. What made you make the move if you mind me asking?
I grew up in E.O. It's alot different from the E.O 20 plus year's ago. The crime rate was alot higher back then. The cleanest side of town, was Doddtown. It was considered the suburb side of East Orange, because it was closer to Bloomfield, and a lot more quite. Than across town in the NaughtyVille section.

@@freddykrueger7406ll no. Quality of life is death by a thousand papercuts, unless you just have really low expectations. Constant property damage. The so called “quiet area” (subjective AF) has gunshots nightly year round which radiate through cemeteries and parks and flow up the hill into the suburbs where those living along the DMZ border are constantly traumatized. Motorcycles, sirens 🚨 and speeding motorists. Aggressive 4th world driving. No turning signals. Daily accidents caused by a mix of uncoordinated, entitled and lawless, careless drivers. Throw in the occasional stolen cars and it’s constant stress. Speak to people who have family or jobs which necessitate frequent trips through EO and Orange and put it in a spreadsheet. Trend analysis will show how the majority of them are involved in collisions. New cars totaled. Every night there’s teams of masked young men trying the doors of your home and cars. If you’re living a middle class existence you will be targeted for burglary and home invasion. Casual stick ups on your front porch are very normal in even the calmest blocks of EO. The locals are very much unaware of how they standout anywhere else, but basically they all have illegal full limo tint even in the front windshield. Lots of Altimas. Terrible environment to live in.
Awesome tour my friend. Smooth captured! Enjoyed it a lot!
Can you drive on S Harrison St to Berwyn St in East Orange? I grew up there. Thanks.
Main street still looks the same

very naught town
Being from West, East, and Orange as well as Newark i can safely say these areas are all awful slumbuckets. Stay away, dont move here ever, rent is through the roof and crime even higher.
