Oradea, ROMANIA Walking Tour 4K | The Most Beautiful Town in Transylvania
This Oradea, Romania Walking Tour takes place in springtime. Oradea is probably one of the most beautiful towns in Transylvania, Romania. The main square and most of the old buildings in the city center were recently renovated, so the town gives some old German town vibes. 🥰

@@metodiusm428 They became germanized cities after the Turkish occupation, with the Habsburg times, but before, they were not, and Buda have existed a long way before. Also, Pest and Buda was less then 100k people in the mid 19th centuries, but after the developments followed by the 1867 compromised, the city have grown to a million almost. Also, architecturally, most of Budapest was built end of 19th. So no, the center was not built by Germans. But we are proud of our heritage together with the Germans. Don't forget, the Germans were invited to settle in Hungary (including in Transylvania) by the Hungarians from the 13th century. Nagyvárad was built by Hungarians though, and that is all.

Hey dudes, everybody is walking the same streets in a 2 square killometers in the center and I have to admit the administrators did a great job rebuilding it. But what about the other streets towards the outskirts of the city. Are they rebuilt too? How do they look? Is their an improvement in the quality of life of the regular oradean or is just the glitz done in rhe center to attract turists? A beautifull city must show its beauty all over the place not only in a 2 square klm in the center. Please inform.

@@userAndrew5 Not really. Western Hungarian cities preserved better in history, so they kept their medieval, renaissance, baroque architecture - from the 17-18th century. Central and East Hungary suffered more from wars or nature, they built as bigger cities later, in the 19th century, monarchic times. Szeged, Nagyvárad, Arad, Debrecen more monarchic cities, it's architectural style art nouveau and historism. But if you watching Brasov or Sibiu, it's again preserved German style medieval and baroque cities.
