HI Sir / All , can any of me help with the difference between PARALLEL and MAX DATAPUMP PARALLEL PER JOB options that are used in datapump .

Auto indexing feature available at Engineered systems like Exadata &ODA , not for other platforms.. can u pls confirm again..

I'm new to DBMS our sir told us to download 11g can I download it..

And also I'm confusing which to download bcz in 19c even lots of variants are there.. which one to download

Hello...I had a mandate from my management to reduce the no of indexes on all critical big db on critical tables ... I don't have background of such request...do we have any specific drawback to have indexes ..any specific threshold number of indexes or any document from Oracle came up now suggesting to reduce no. Of indexes... Pls suggest how to relate to the ask. I really can't ask management for the reason at this moment so taking your help to understand...

Thank you Sir. It is nice video and very helpful for us . Can you please create a similar video i.e. 19c features for CDB PDB env. How to manage efficiently Multi tenant architecture in 19c as a Dba ? One more question. Is there any option to switchover only pdb ? If we have 4 PDBs in a container . But we need to switchover only 1 PDB to data guard. Is it possible ? If we need to switchover whole CDB , it will impact other PDBs also as well in applications. How to manage this situation? What is your suggestion here ? Shall keep 1 PDB a a single container? mainly in Production env where we need to switchover.

Hi Sir , We can speed up export and import with parallel option in expdp/impdp ..How would max datapump parallel per job different compare to parallel option?

The Parallel option is specified along with the expdp option in command line where as max_datapump_parallel_per_job can be set in the parameter file. If You observe a full db export with a parallel option still only one worker process would be actively used(which i don't know why ) , but with the new parameter export log indicates exact no of process used, In RAC each instance can have a different value with this new parameter.

2:16 I cannot believe that something as basic as "rotating log files" is a NEW feature in v19 when it should have been there since v1 !
