2024 ഇൽ ആണ് കാണുന്നത്.. പറയാൻ വാക്കുകളില്ല... മനസ്സിൽ വല്ലാത്ത ഒരു അസ്വസ്ഥത.. മനോഹരമായി അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ശ്യാമപ്രസാദ് രചനയും സംവിധാനവും നിർവ്വഹിച്ച് 2007-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ മലയാളചലച്ചിത്രമാണ് ഒരേ കടൽ ( ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്: The Sea Within ). സുനിൽ ഗംഗോപാധ്യായയുടെ ബംഗാളി നോവലായ ഹിരാക് ദീപ്തിയെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കിയാണ് ചിത്രം. ഒരു ബുദ്ധിജീവിയായ സാമ്പത്തിക വിദഗ്ധനും വീട്ടമ്മയും തമ്മിലുള്ള വിവാഹേതര ബന്ധമാണ് സിനിമ പരിശോധിക്കുന്നത്

The whole world knows about mamooty's caliber, but what meera did in this film was outstanding, perhaps the finest actress next only to the great manju varier. Also fine performance by narin, a much underrated actor. Hats off to shyamaprasad for the brilliant direction

ദാരിദ്ര്യം, അത്‌ പണത്തിന്റെ കാര്യത്തിലായാലും കരുതലിന്റെയും സുരക്ഷിതത്വത്തിന്റെ കാര്യത്തിലായാലും ശരി, ഒരു ശരാശരി പെണ്ണിനെ എവിടെയൊക്കെ എത്തിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് പറയാനാവില്ല... ഇതിലെ നാഥൻ ഹൃദയമുള്ളവനാണ്.. പക്ഷെ അധികം നാഥന്മാർക്കും ഹൃദയമില്ല....

Dear all.. ഈ സിനിമ കണ്ട ശേഷം എന്നെ അത്ഭുതപ്പെടുത്തിയത് ഇതിലെ comments ആണ്. ഈ സിനിമ പോലെ ആർക്കും നിർവചിക്കാൻ കഴിയില്ല പലരുടെ മനസ്സും. സ്നേഹം തന്നെ ആണ് ഇതിന്റെ ഇതിവൃത്തം അത് overwhelm ചെയ്താലേ I think ഈ സിനിമയെ മനസിലാക്കാൻ പറ്റു. പലരും ഇതിൽ മീരയുടെ കഥാപാത്രത്തെ കുറ്റപെടുത്തിയപ്പോൾ സങ്കടം തോന്നി. ഇതിൽ ഒരു epic type scene ഉണ്ട്. 1:25:00 to 1:28:00 വരെ കാണു. നരെയ്ൻ ഒരു നല്ല ഭർത്താവും അതിലുപരി സ്നേഹം നിറഞ്ഞവൻ ആണ്. അയാൾക്ക്‌ നടന്നതെല്ലാം മനസ്സിലാകുന്നുണ്ട് (that scene) അതോടൊപ്പം അവൾ പാവമാണെന്നും അറിയാം. അതുപോലെ മമ്മൂട്ടിയെയും അയാൾ മനസിലാക്കുന്നു. അതുകൊണ്ടു അയാൾ 2 പേരോടും നീതി പുലർത്തുന്ന നല്ലൊരു ഭർത്താവ് ആകുന്നു. മീര പറയുന്നുണ്ട് അതിൽ പിന്നെ അവൾ ഒരു പുരുഷന്റെ കൂടെ കിടന്നിട്ടില്ല എന്ന്. അതിൽ നിന്ന് തന്നെ ആ പെണ്കുഞ്ഞു തന്റെ അല്ല എന്ന് കരുതാൻ സാധിക്കും. തന്റെ സാമ്പത്തിക പ്രതിസന്ധിയിൽ ഭാര്യ കെട്ടിപിടിക്കുമ്പോൾ പോലും (സിനിമ തുടക്കം) അയാൾക്കു ഒരു physical റിലേഷൻ പോലും താല്പര്യം കാണിക്കുന്നില്ല. എന്തിനു തന്റെ കുഞ്ഞിന് മരുന്ന് മേടിക്കാൻ പോലും അയാൾക്ക്‌ കഴിയുന്നില്ല. ഇതെല്ലാം തന്റെ അവസ്ഥ ആയിരുന്നു എന്ന് നരെയ്ൻ കരുതുന്നുണ്ട് അവസാനം വരെ. ഇനി മീരയിലേക്കു വരുമ്പോൾ വളരെ സ്വപ്നങ്ങൾ ഉള്ളവൾ പഠിക്കാൻ മിടുക്കി എങ്ങും എത്താതെ പോയതിന്റെ സങ്കടം ഇതൊക്കെ ഉണ്ട്. മമൂട്ടിയുടെ മുറിയിൽ ആദ്യം വരുമ്പോൾ പുസ്തകം എല്ലാം ആശ്ചര്യത്തോടെ അവൾ നോക്കുന്നു. ഞാൻ ആയിട്ടുള്ള physical relation അവളും ആസ്വദിച്ചല്ലോ എന്ന് മമ്മൂട്ടി ചോദിക്കുന്നുണ്ട് സുഹൃത്ത് ആയ രമ്യ കൃഷ്ണനോട്. പക്ഷെ മീര കുറെ സ്വപ്നങ്ങൾ ഉള്ള പക്ഷെ അതോടൊപ്പം സാധുവായ അവൾ താൻ ചെയ്തതു ഒരു പാപം ആണെന്ന് ഉറച്ചു വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു ഒരു ദൈവത്തിനും അത് മായ്ക്കാൻ പറ്റില്ല എന്ന് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു. മമ്മൂട്ടി ഇതിൽ തുടക്കത്തിൽ സ്നേഹത്തിനു യാതൊരു വില കാണിക്കുന്നില്ല (Ex . അമ്മമ്മയുടെ മരണം, poverty നെ പറ്റി എഴുതുന്ന അയാൾ ഒരു പൈസ പോലും ധർമ്മം കൊടുക്കുന്നില്ല) പക്ഷെ രമ്യയുടെ കഥാപാത്രം അവന്റെ കൂടെ എപ്പോഴും (2 അവസ്ഥയിലും) നടക്കുമ്പോഴും സ്നേഹം പഠിപ്പിക്കുകയും താൻ ആ അവസ്ഥയിൽ ആവാൻ കാരണം miss use ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ട തന്റെ ബാല്യം ആണെന്നും പറയുന്നു. (ഒരു bulding വെച്ച് ഇരന്ന ഒരു കുഞ്ഞിന് മമ്മൂട്ടി നിരസിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവൾ പണം കൊടുക്കുന്നു). ഇതു മാത്രം അല്ല മീരയെ കേറി പിടിക്കുന്ന സ്നേഹിച്ചു കല്യാണം കഴിച്ചവൻ സഹായത്തോടൊപ്പം അവളുടെ ശരീരത്തെയും ചോദിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഭംഗിയായി അവൾ "ശവം" പ്രതികരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അതിൽ മമ്മൂട്ടി അയാളേക്കാൾ വ്യത്യസ്തൻ ആണെന്നും ഒടുവിൽ mammootty സ്നേഹത്തിനു മുമ്പിൽ കീഴടങ്ങുന്നു എന്നും കാണിക്കുന്നു. നരേനും മീരയും മമ്മൂട്ടിയും രമ്യയും ആ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളും എല്ലാം ഒടുവിൽ സ്നേഹത്തിന്റെ വിവിധ മുഖം ആകുന്നു ഒടുവിൽ. ആ അയൽവാസി ഒഴികെ. തന്റെ പിറക്കാത്ത മീരയുടെ മകനെ പോലും അയാൾ (മമ്മൂട്ടി) സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നു ഒടുവിൽ. എല്ലാവരോടും കടമെടുത്ത ഒരു വാക്ക് കുറിക്കുകയാണ് "സ്നേഹമാണ് അഖില സാരമൂഴിയിൽ".

12 - 5 - 2024 am watched the Tamil version of this movie bez I wish to know the comments about this movie . So sorry to say many people don't understand the depth of this great work of Mr. Shyamapresad with the great legend Mammookka. They say very crual about Deepthy & Dr. Nadhan . They all consider the relationship is for lust. But this is the inner mind of two human beings. There no lut but is precious love . The love between the weaves of an ocean has deep depth .❤❤❤

നാഷണൽ അവാർഡ് നഷ്ടമായത് മീരക്കാണ്. അവസാന ഘട്ടം വരെയും മീരയുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. കന്നഡ നടി ഉമശ്രീ യും മീര ജാസ്മിനും തമ്മിൽ ആയിരുന്നു മത്സരം. ഉമശ്രീ മികച്ച നടിയായി.മമ്മൂട്ടി അവസാന റൗണ്ടിൽ എത്തിയിരുന്നില്ല. സംസ്ഥാന അവാർഡ് ആണ് മമ്മൂട്ടിക്ക് നഷ്ടമായത്. മീര സംസ്ഥാന അവാർഡ് നേടുകയും ചെയ്തു.

Exactly! When the movie got over, i felt really bad for the naren character, he was a good guy! He is being cheated and lied to. I still wonder how he would feel when he comes to know that his daughter is not his own! All the things he sacrificed while her wife was in a mental hospital raised the children on his own 😢!

Super movie

This movie is not meant for people who have strong beliefs of rights and wrongs and want movies guided by a moral compass. There is no social message to be found here. This is about flawed and fragile humans and the deep abyss that is love. In all honesty I don't think people who haven't experienced a love so conflicting and so strong would be able to enjoy this movie much, I myself couldn't. Defenitely worth watching.
