Yeah, but I wish I wasn't hearing it while listening to Polyushka Polye! These are songs that were meant to win wars and set the world on fire, but this lady with the beautiful goddess voice is singing this one as though it were an aria! I mean, Polyushka Polye is couples-themed, but it isn't exactly Tyomnaya Noch!

Does anyone know where I can find the Pohyuska Pole English words to this great song. My Grandmother and Grandfather were from Lithuania, but my dad had a English version of this song on a vinyl record, which is gone now. The song starts out: March over meadows where grasses in the plane's are rolling, Red Army heroes here are ????? If anyone could help me refind this version I would appreciate it

I managed to download her discography almost a decade ago when her music was still super hard to find in good quality. That download was unbearably slow and took almost a week, but it was so worth it. She is one of the very few artists that have had such a strong effect on me that I will eventually buy all of her music someday. She may be gone, but I want to make sure to support her family and ensure that her legacy lives on as one of the best singers of her era.

The original lyrics "Polyushko pole" is very different, it is longer and is dedicated to the Red army (in some versions - the Russian army, although it is almost the same thing). Origa sing her own version, more international and at the same time which better conveys the history of Russia (and the Eurasian space) from ancient times to the present day.

@TC Tsang PolushkO is correct in writing but in fact last letter 'O' in that word common sounds like mix of 'o' and 'a'. Looks like author misheard letter in diphthong.

Yeah, but I wish I wasn't hearing it while listening to Polyushka Polye! These are songs that were meant to win wars and set the world on fire, but this lady with the beautiful goddess voice is singing this one as though it were an aria! It's been more than 2 years and I still regularly listen to this beautiful piece...... And I believe I'll continue doing so in the coming years.
The comments are probably filled with pro-Russian sentiments and I'm an American so it's a little weird. But I have always loved Origa and even the Red Army Chior and to a greater extent. Russia. Beautiful country that creates beautiful artists. I wish nothing but peace for the future.

Does anyone know where I can find the Pohyuska Pole English words to this great song. My Grandmother and Grandfather were from Lithuania, but my dad had a English version of this song on a vinyl record, which is gone now. 我不懂俄语，但我每次听都会深深地被打动😭。这是苏联的一首为共青团创作的歌，不停重复的“草原啊草原”大概也是暗示青年们在草原上战斗。原版是很宏伟的合唱，气势磅礴但相对缺乏个体情感。而Origa的演唱既大方又不失细腻的情感（无法抵挡的悲情）🌹 很难过第一次听到Origa的歌时就得知她已经去世了。感谢她曾经刚柔并济将这首歌演绎地如此美丽❤

She is one of the very few artists that have had such a strong effect on me that I will eventually buy all of her music someday. She may be gone, but I want to make sure to support her family and ensure that her legacy lives on as one of the best singers of her era.

I had no idea she had passed away until tonight. So sad. She was very young. Such a beautiful voice. :'(

The original lyrics "Polyushko pole" is very different, it is longer and is dedicated to the Red army (in some versions - the Russian army, although it is almost the same thing). Origa sing her own version, more international and at the same time which better conveys the history of Russia (and the Eurasian space) from ancient times to the present day.

@TC Tsang PolushkO is correct in writing but in fact last letter 'O' in that word common sounds like mix of 'o' and 'a'. Looks like author misheard letter in diphthong.
What a voice... can't get enough of it. So sad she left this world so early... R.I.P.
