i’m 27 years old. i ALWAYS listen to music from the 80s. not a single song from the current century (apart from Eminem) is in my playlist, EVER. my mom, who was born in 1968, raised me and my brother with the same music taste as hers and this is one of many reasons i’m proud of her!!! MJ, duran duran, modern talking, alphaville, belinda carlisle and many, MANY other artists… god bless them for the great music they produced! as i said many times before, i wish i was a teenager in the 80s…

I remember 1985 like it was yesterday. I was 15 years old, had my whole life ahead of me and the music like this was constantly coming out on the radio. There will never be another decade like the 1980s! Best years of my life!

This song has been embraced by the Latino community and now I know what it's like to be in their shoes watching Eurovison. Gay is Gay is what this song should be called. It has also been influenced by Simon & Garfunkel - The Boxer with the Lie La Lie bit. The timing is different but that's pretty much it. Yes played at the Catalans Dragons v St Helens rugby league match in Perpignan last night and we all loved it:)

In third grad we went to a event where primary students where gatered "classe wir singen" and this was one of the songs if I remember correctly ( from germany)
