To become an ophthalmologist (eye doctor) one has to complete DO/ MS/ DNB in Ophthalmology post MBBS (or) PG Diploma/ MS in Netra Roga Vigyan post BAMS, so yes NEET is mandatory to pursue MBBS/ BAMS, but NEET is not mandatory to become an Optometrist

It has good scope provided it is done from a good institute attached to a good eye care hospital. Sky is the limit if you can start your own clinic and/ provide freelancing services. Note: 1. Any medical and allied courses ought to be followed by PG with specialization to earn good, this is the case even after MBBS. 2. In Optometry you can specialize either by pursuing PG Diploma/ Fellowship/ M.Optom

They can. MHA or MBA HM is preferable. Or pursue any specialization as per interest.

Both the courses have equal scope in terms of employment, but pursuing it from an institution attached to a good hospital is very important. Note: 1. Any medical and allied courses ought to be followed by PG with specialization to earn good, this is the case even after MBBS. 2. In case of Optometry you can specialize either by pursuing PG Diploma/ Fellowship/ M.Optom. 3. You have to hire a radiologist with DNB/ MD in Radiology to start your own centre, also it requires huge investment, but you are not required to hire an ophthalmologist to start your own optometry clinic, also it doesn't require huge investment like radiology centre, you can provide freelancing services as well.

Starting salary of any medical and related professional will be low, it ought to be followed by PG with specialization to earn good, this is the case with MBBS as well. Both physiotherapy and optometry have good scope provided it is followed by PG with specialization from an institution attached to a top hospital, sky is the limit for skilled optometrists/ physiotherapists who can afford to start his/ her own clinic and/ provide freelancing services.
