A couple of days ago I was hanging out with my neighbor after work. Sharing a drink and a burger, and his gf asked if I could look at a scuff her daughter's boy friend put on the front hee new Jeep Cherokee. I had my "Optimum Kit" with me. Included is my old Porter Cable 7424, optimun pads, and the full range of Optimum abrasives. I used their orange waffle pad with the Hyper Compound. In one pass anything that was going to come out, came out. Only the finger nail catchers remained. Washed the pad in the pad washer, sprayed Hyper Polish, and gave a quick, light polish to the entire hood for her. Followed up with Optimun Car Wax, and it looked absolutely gorgeous.

I like the Optimum Hyper Twins. I do find the Compound clogs up the spray nozzle the next time I go to use it if I forget to take it out and clean it with water. As an amateur I liked that it was easy to work with, long working time and easy to spray on the pad. I also like how it doesn't stain the plastic trim, as I'm rarely thorough enough to tape everything off.

So, let me make sure I saw what I think I saw. The rotary with either pad finished down much better than the DA with the Honey wool pad? If you had used the LC wool on the DA do you think it would have at least finished down as well as the Rotary? Did the Honey at least cut deeper than the RO with the wools?
