Easily the best TFD channel there is. Everyone else doing helpful guides is convenient but THE MATH is what really counts for the ultra sweats like myself. Appreciate it very much. Looks like i can relax on the defence currently at 52k on Freyna.

@@ryechew Definitely stack HP. Shields seem almost worthless in this game. Increased HP and HP Amplification mods are well worth over shield mods imo.

You should see the backend for elden ring 😂 the equations for protections is actually insane and like almost 20 years old

I'm sure a lot us were, especially us looter-shooter fans/vets that have come from Warframe and the division where we have been min maxing defense for years. Having no idea what values I'm after has been driving me nuts and I've just been trying to stack as much as I reasonably can.

I never sub channels. Clean explanation, math proof, sample of the testing at the end. You sir got a new sub!

LOVE this man. This is what I found too in my calculations in me soloing and moving things around to test shields, hp, and defense. This is spot on in after messing with every combination possible making bunny solo any end game content without any worries for damage being done to her

no wonder i had like 45k DEF and 3k HP but i still died easily on bunny, now I optimized my module and got around 25k DEF and 14k HP and its much better!!

@@DG-2323 there are a good number of modules that buff hp. Got to the Access Log for Modules and search HP. You'll find everything there. They for sure have the blue Increased HP maxed which is already +190%. It can go crazy from there tbh. Though 14k is quite high.

@@DG-2323depends if you beat the campaign, if you did then those numbers are due to ultimate HP external components with max mp also equipped inside the roll pool. Also if your max hp mod is maxed out that’s another reason that’s all I know, most likely someone knows more than me brotha.

So take a hp modifier of like 100% Then look at how much your hp changes. Then look at how much it changes with a double roll. Also if you run the -4.5% final damage and -11.5% damage incoming damage with just one defense plus 132% you can take 10-20 damage from posion from a boss. However take off those two mods keeping with defense only and you get hit for about 57-80+ per second. Also you can get far above 14k hp. I'm only level 72 in gear. But think about it. HP modifier of 300% more health. Then a % of your max shield goes to hp. Get the mod regen on kill 9% max hp recovery per kill Then farm mods for hp and shield and keep swapping them out till you get the highest number you can. I took off all my defense went from 7k to 3k and was getting hit by normal mobs for about 180 per hit with 5k hp and 1k shield. However higher tier mobs did like 480-520 in seconds and got me down in like 5 seconds maybe less. Probably because lack of defense and resistance. Yet I don't have enough atm to build into resist so what I am gonna do is skill range and use that.

I did some of my own testing and will continue to and so far they align pretty closely with what you displayed here. Good to see collaborative conclusions so I’m more comfortable in my setup being efficient.

Really cool, I've been wondering about defence ever since the first beta and stacking as much as possible on Ajax :) Greatly appreciate the work you've put in, been following your last few videos, had a small thing though; the amount of cuts you do in the video/speech means some words are sometimes cut off and at least for me makes it harder to follow, wouldn't mind less cuts and more pauses!
