The only thing i can say, is that the only time you should upcharge upheaval is if the targett are more spread, if they are well stacked, you should never charge upheaval as upcharging ONLY increases the radius, it does not increase the damage whatsoever, aside from occasionally allowing you to hit more targets.

Do charge it if you’re trying to give you healer more mana from source of magic! Otherwise it’s only range, yes!

Thank you for your video! Augmentation makes me want to play the game again. I played Mistweaver Monk, but I feel it only has one optimal build in M+. With Evoker, I can do Healing or Support and there's more options I have depending on what's needed. It's so much fun 😊

PSA Hot Tip: Use your Verdant Embrace on the DPS you want to put sands on. It’ll be easier to do a mouse over cast on their party frame than trying to look around on the field for their location.

Genius! No more chasing the moonkin!

With the little bit I've played I've thoroughly enjoyed playing aug and cant wait to jump in and do it more. Side note I wanted to know how you got a cutout of your dracthyr I've been wanting to get a gif of mine dancing and alpha out the background.

I'm having a blast with augmentation, but i still fall short with lining up CDs with the group. Hopefully your OmniCD profile helps with that Also your build name is a mood

I was healing as pres, which was REALLY hard, but rewarding. Augmentation is technically easy, minimal buttons, but such a new style of game play, trying to line up my buddies cooldowns to help them hit CRAZY numbers, is definitely challenging and rewarding in its self.

Minimal buttons? Well im coming from enh shammy and uhdk which people consider „hard” and id say that playing aug well is harder. I never felt so much in control. You have soo many tools to use, also there are a lot of niche tricks i learned like you can get double interrupt if needed in some clutch scenario when you need kicks and other dps are dead or have cd (kick - time skip - kick back from cd). There are multiple tricks you can learn on aug. Also most of the noobs i met had like 40-50% ebon might uptime in a dungeon…You really need that 70-80% ebon might uptime and as close to 100 as you can on bosses. Pushed most 26s this week and truly never felt so in control as a dps (thats why i was considering switch to healer because i felt lack of real carry potential as a dps in keys but aug came out)

@@pr3287 the augmentation rotation is one of the easiest in game. Devestation evoker was often regarded as an 'easy class' and augmentation is significantly easier than that.

I think the details will be more important. Providing healing support, keeping your scales up on teh tank, hitting damage windows as clean and timely as possible. Even knowing when to hit a ramp of another character will matter more! Because we lost so much "easy" stuff, the harder stuff will be more important. Good for skill expression, bad for those who didn't learn a ton! Im honestly thinking we're still fine on the aug side of things!

fate mirror has helped me greatly when I play healer!

only thing im seeing that could be changed is thast when u cast upheavel on st or when mobs cant be knocked up, u want to only cast it to the first proc because it doesnt increase the dmg of it only the radius

I really like the idea of an off healing build but is there any way to track symbiotic bloom to see if it’s worth it? I feel like it could be really nice on Fyraak or Larodar to help out the healers and mana in 10.2.

What's the addon for tracking class cooldowns? Need a good way to keep up with that like you've got it here! Great vid thanks!

@@Bowserthehealer yeah I agree I didn't meant it in a like derogatory way, more so in the sense of you can go in and as long as you just try and maintain your ebon might uptime while pulling mobs pop a defensive when stuff comes you'll be fine. I know a lot of people can be overwhelmed by having to track all their teammates CDs and stuff in pugs so wanted to ease their minds with it .

4 months late but thanks for this comment. I was freaking out doing baby keys thinking I had to juggle 19273813 different cds and things when playing Aug. This comment eased my mind on the spec because this video made it seem like a more complicated spec.

i only ever have like max 3 to 4 seconds left on ebon cd when it falls off most the time its coming up or is up already when the buff goes away its harder on trash pulls but on bosses i have very little to sometimes 0 down time on the buff

True, getting the full extension is a combination of stats and luck. If you aren't proccing EBs, getting a decent amount of crits, and getting those last second cats off in time it won't happen. I feel like this combined with just talking understanding how all classes play is where we get the high skill ceiling.

Thanks again for a great video!! One question, I am trying to find out to what I should macro my Irideus trinket. I can't find it. I would say Breath of Eons but that has a 1.8 min CD while the trinket has a 3 min CD. Do I bind it to that nonetheless?

So I wouldnt even macro that just because I like granularity with when I use it. But the answer is slam it right after your empowered spells before your breath. Ebon might before or after is whatever because there is no "snapshotting" with the buff it will retroactively remove int from people as it falls off. Its okay if its on every other breath of eons, its just a godlike amount of damage increase! If you do macro it, breath of eons is fine! I just sometimes hold it for 1 if I know we have a giga lust setup. But tbh you can macro into breath of eons just fine!

Quick question why are you using breath of eons before ebon might? Doesnt breath give 5 more secs of ebon might? Wouldnt it be better to use ebon, breath then emp spells??

For uptime! Sure if you can EM before the pull starts yes, that is better for the CD! But usually in a pug you are not in comms, don’t miss the opening damage window for a channel! Remember some classes hit thier cooldowns and absolutely take off and you don’t wanna miss much of that! But let’s say you have time to react? For sure! 100% EM first! As long as that eons is gap-less? You’re huge chillin!

@@Bowserthehealer Tbh im not sure why you would ever tell someone(especially people who are new, since youd be telling them to do the wrong thing a majority of the time) to Eons at the start of the pull before EM, its genuinely just poor advice and there really isnt almost any scenario where that would be the more optimal thing to do, and you wont find any top aug evoker performing it this way regardless of if theyre in comms or not in comms. In your Eons opener you Eons>tip+fire breath>nearly full charge an upheaval>finally cast EM. Thats damn near 5 seconds before your Ebon Might cast goes off, and Eons only lasts 10 seconds, so thats a massive 50% of the Eons duration where your DPS didnt have the main stat+versa buff from EM supercharging the amount of damage accumulating for Eons. Surely you can see how that is objectively suboptimal to do, no? Not to mention that youre ALSO forfeiting 5 free seconds of EM uptime, which is an even further damage loss. And if the DPS youre playing with have any setup, or ramp time AT ALL, youre griefing your Eons damage to an even larger degree by sending it right away on pull.

You're 100% right, if I could fix it right now I would. But also I know most of my content is about pugging, and it realistically isn't always viable. So next Aug video ill make I will 100% clarify, I'll likely update the description. But that was the idea, im fully aware of the way it maths out myself but its good to have this written up for anyone deep diving the comment section for more info!

I just want you to know this video is a touch old, Pre-heat has some amazing current videos on Aug I recommend you check out! But to answer your question Losing an extension sucks, but missing someone's cooldown is also a big deal. Shifting Sands is an important mastery and not giving that buff out in a damage window can be tough on damage. Most of the time your Ebon Might will be running, and this isn't an issue. But if you got *massively* de-synced it can be worth the couple of seconds on EM to hit someone's big window in a worst case scenario. Most of the time? This won't be an issue!

I like using breath of eons to give me a full ebon might into another with no down time

Dose ur talent is better on raids ? Can show the best of aug on raids ? Specially if u doing mythic u want the best for ur group

I explained on a few other comments, and in the description. If you can pre-pull it 100% do it beforehand. But in pugs you sometimes get chained into it and someone hits a CD and its better to window Eons than it is to EM first. I shoulda included this and I can edit post making a video so I did my best to inform people afterwards

If it does, thats news to me. Because so far all my testing has shown its proximity based. However, that would explain a paladin we BR'd tonight in a pug that didn't get shifting sands over the healer. That being said with everyone having EM? Proximity based!

Cool guide, your talent setup for M+ is way way off though. Would revise that a bit further. Loks like you just grabbed what sounded cool instead of what's performing best numerically. I'm sure your setup definitely works for your typical key though.

It’s doing pretty fine in the numbers department. I also don’t typically “grab” builds when I’m testing things. I do generally mention if I went for someone else’s page, as I think that’s important. But no issues in 22-24’s with it. Damage is looking great. I’ll play with whatever builds you might be referring too to test myself because that’s important. But if we’re blasting through keys with my talent page with zero timer or pull length issues and frequently getting near +2? It’s probably doing more than good enough, no?

Imo there are some rather glaring issues with your build, and I think youre REALLY downplaying the amount of damage loss you suffer by choosing not to play Momentum shift, Inferno's Blessing, AND Fate Mirror. Inferno's Blessing is usually worth between 3-5% overall damage in a key, and Fate Mirror is usually worth between 4ish% upwards of 6 or 7% depending on what specs youre playing with and how well you keep Prescience up. Thats usually around 8-11%+ overall damage combined in a key, which is HARDLY an insignificant amount and can easily amount to enough time loss to not time a key. Momentum Shift is more difficult to put a definitive numerical value on in a key, but considering that it will usually have around 35-40% uptime in a key, its a talent that you dont want to sacrifice. The fact it gives percentage based intellect is also very potent because it scales incredibly well with things like class trinket proc+iridieus frag on use, legendary proc, sophic devotion procs, potion use etc. which all amount to creating a much burstier damage window for the 2 DPS youre buffing, and thus leads to you of course gaining much more value on your EM damage contribution(which of course feeds into your Eons, fate mirror, infernos blessing damage contribution as well ). Its safe to say that choosing to forgo all 3 of those talents is not something this is typically well advised, youre sacrificing AT LEAST 15% overall damage in a key by doing so. Using those talent points to instead gain something that will give decent uptime on a 3% healing received buff when you use emerald blossom(if people are stacked in it) is nowhere near worth it even in high keys, since that 3% healing realistically wont save people, but the massive damage loss absolutely will lead to time being an issue for the key.

I do not disagree with most points, although I find in dungeons infernal's blessing just isn't putting in enough work for me to take it or the lust talent afterwards. But a reminder that I get viewers who are new to M+, all the way to the 20 and beyond category. Im down to talk about high level play and run a build more fitting for that. But I also have been running something with more support orientation and letting go of a few damage talents. And what I've found even in 23's is that helping a healer out a little more, or running some buffs for the sake of living has done wonders for helping tight heal checks and dangerous packs with lots of spells that aren't all being interrupted. In short, you make fantastic points, but the viability of builds and what can be run at different key levels is vastly different than optimizing for a specific group or just for damage. The int talent is a huge one that I plan to run more, but hitting my DPS windows with my mastery and EM is doing enough that we (my pug groups*) are still comfortably timing and clearing keys. I make content for a larger demographic than just say people beyond keystone hero. So maybe while I respect the info the tone is a bit deaf to what I do and who I generally talk to. I'm a single content creator working on this channel, and again thank you for all the dope info. But please understand the struggle of making content for a wide audience.

I appreciate both points of view. It's nice to understand how to ramp up damage with talents, but it's also cool that you, Bowser, show a more supportive build. I only run +10s and the level of skill varies a lot. I think especially for pugs and lower keys, it's good to help people stay alive. As a healer, I know, DPS will make big, obvious mistakes and part of the fun of a support is to fix that, hehe. 😊 Coordinated groups that are on voice chat probably have a completely different set of expectations and needs.

So I kinda disagree, but hear me out! Remember not everyone gets these concepts. Especially say someone who only plays DPS and hasn’t supported before. Back in PSO2 og, bouncer and mostly techer played so wildly different then other classes. Buff uptime and Xanverse placement was something that could take minutes off a run. It’s an easy concept but if you haven’t done it before? It might be completely different to what you normally do. “Meet them where they are at” is an important teaching concept for certain levels of course work. I try to live by that as a teacher!

Ill have to *very respectfully* disagree with the talent choices here for high end keys. Some of the things skipped to help the healer out are critical to help boost dps. And in higher keys can break a key (think sparks in VP) having time skip is really important ti make sure you have the tools you need to buff the group when burst damage is needed. This seems definitely like a healer focused support (which I understand i main heals too). Adding damage is the bread and butter of this spec. Other than talents I think this is a good dip your toes in guide for new players.

People like Sanghelios and Preheat both have been running the highest end M+ keys with Interwoven Threads (makes Time Skip passive), so there's nothing wrong with Bowser choosing to go that same route. I questioned the decision on Fate Mirror, but after a little digging and with Bowser's advice on the matter, it turns out that it isn't as critical in a 5-man setting, especially if you're melee DPS heavy. Also on high end keys like, 25's? They are clearing with plenty of time to spare. Trust me that 5-6% more damage instead of utility is not likely why they are clearing so well. So for 20's and below you do not need to worry about that. And if you are running that high of a key, my pug focused learning guides are not likely going to help you in the build department lol. Top level healing is sometimes to talent for the comp and the dungeon. Where as in a 20 you can run something heavy with damage and heal with no issue. BUT I standby the theories are sound, and those are the important part to getting better. More so than talents. Obviously you hit that level where you also need perfect talents. Also the current talent page I have linked is very close to most meta play styles.

Switched to aug, gained almost 400 rio with barely any effort. I do miss healing as preservation. Have a friend who's rank one healer on our realm who decided to quit after aug release, if he actually gets invited to a key, he's kicked for not being aug. I feel bad for him.
