I love how eloquently lucid speaks on halo. This episode the most in depth real discussion about the game I’ve seen yet. Gotta get deadzone and trippy next!

Lucid is possibly the most well spoken esports gamer of ALL time. An absolute class act!

Lucid is the reason I got into esports at all. I found his content when Infinite launched. Now, a few years later, I’m a massive fan of OpTic Halo, their COD team, and much more. I have no idea what the future holds for Halo. Honestly, I’m extremely pessimistic as a long time fan. But I’ll follow Lucid wherever he goes or does.

Bro same here, I found him on KZread and started to get interested in the competitive part of Halo. Also became a fan of the OpTic Halo and COD team and the content they make.

@@cesarivan5878 yeah. It hurts to see them grinding out this “esports winter” because the cross-pollination of having different teams helped me in such a way. Like, I was JUST about to watch a lot of OpTic Rocket League. Retals was doing some fun streams with Octane and I was like “yo, this guy is fun and on OpTic. I’ll watch!” Then they just shut down the whole squad..

Same here. Lucid was first. Legit thought all competitive fps games were goofy. Now I'm up watching world competition streams yelling at my TV.

As a Faze fan, I can confidently say I never knew I needed Hair Time with Lucid… but I truly did, and it was beautiful.

I get that some say Lucid can come across whiny sometimes on stream but I always understand it's through a passion and love for the game. He wants it to be the best game it can be and he clearly enjoys and loves it when it works right. Loved this interview and his thought process. Still the best Halo based content out there right now. Hopefully the July 30th Update alleviates a number of issues with the game that have overshadowed it recently.

The Halo passion is oozing off my screen, love it!

When NEW maps get tossed in halo, I definitely feel like I’m playing halo for the first time. The lockout/guardian map has extra routes which I absolutely love. The old maps were fun but I think I’ve played them enough lol. If there has to be throwbacks that’s fine. The extra stuff they toss in is always appreciated in my eyes

Lucid should teach a college course on how to be good at Halo

Was a pleasure meeting Tommy at London his been my GOT from the start of my competitive interest, really nice guy. Really nice couple too, wish them both the best.

Love this series, it'd be really cool to see you guys interview whole teams together. Would love to see Trippy interviewed.

great episode. one more thing regarding halo pros streaming - stream with a face cam! makes a huge difference and halo for some reason has so many pros who stream without face cams.

I fully agree w/ lucid on the starting weapon point.

The guardian remake is perfect for ball, no clue why it hasn’t been added.

I like maps that didn't have the curb slide in mind (because it hadn't been discovered yet) when they were made but don't completely fall apart when people use a curb slide. Recharge and Livefire still work super well. Interference, I think, considered it as the main mode of traversal so it makes it feel like The Rig but 3XL. Bound legit driving a warthog around effortlessly through the hallways proves the point perfectly. 😂 Sanc is cool but the popular one on the browser with all the extra geometry (for aesthetics, maybe?) makes it un-fun to move around. Plus, it runs like poopoo on the XSX because it's trying to load 80,000 rocks instead of like 12 walls with some bonus rocks. Coli coming back is cool. We only had it in one game so I feel like a remake is worth while. Sanc was around with Halo 2 and Halo Reach so it's not really worth it imo. Coli is appropriate. When people want aesthetics, it doesn't have to mean a bunch of extra stuff crammed into a map. Even just some color and a well-lit map makes it fun to play. Can one base be made with red blocks and walls and floors? And the other base be made with blue blocks and walls and floors? Throw in a patch of grass, stamp it, and ship it lol Kind of wish we had a Recharge inspired map but made with Covenant themes (asym Midship anybody?) to play Oddball.

@@ElitheSensei Somone mentioned looking forward to playing it in Clutch's watch party for the Sen City event. He responded by saying "don't hold your breath." Maybe he was just kidding, idk. Lucid seemed to emphasize Origin and that Sanc remake so it made me think about that. Adding a new map or two after ATL would make a lot of sense though. Great interview, btw.

No one would care about the meta as much if the gametypes and maps were new and fresh. So sick of argyle. So sick of live fire. Bring bazaar back.

Hate this network update. Wish we go back.

"Taco Bell Pit" is braindead criticism. Empyrean looks and plays great. But Solitude (Plaza) is hideous, and that affects both gameplay and viewership. Where there are no distinctive features, there's no choice but to use old/irrelevant callouts. That's confusing for viewers, and it's annoying as a player because it makes it 10x harder to learn the callouts, and if one person in the game knows them, others won't understand them anyway. Interference is in-between. It could use more colors and more distinctive features, but it does have a decent aesthetic similar to Lockout.

Whine, complain, whine. Updates made. Whine, complain, whine. Rinse and repeat.
