Great video Frankie! Can you make a side by side comparison between the Dimensity 1000L, the SD 765 and the SD 855? Comparing bench marks, thermal performance, after gaming and benchmarks, and battery drain to see how efficient it is So far this seams like a really interesting and impressive SOC and I think it might dominate the budget midrange and the upper midrange market, as its performance looks to be way better than the SD 765 and the SD730 I've seen benchmarks where the regular, not underclocked, version of this chip scored even better than the flagship SD 855! I think competition is good for us and I read that QUALCOMM had to cut the prices of the 765 because of this chip, as they were pricing it really high and got way less demand than expected..

Thanks Ronda! I am definitely thinking this is the angle I will take with that comparison. I do think this chipset impressed far more than I expected, so it will be interesting to deep dive into performance as a result. Agreed competition is a good thing!

Wow..didn't expect that kinda performance from Dimensity 1000L..i thought it performed just like SD 730/765 but it is actually far better..Mediatek sure begin to putting some pressure on Qualcomm right now..

I don't hear anything but hell I just watch it, good review Frankie. I think Oppo just wanna keep coming with new models, they have advertisement all over and for sure in Asia, there will be people buying it. It feels like yesterday they launched the first Reno... They need to slow down a bit.

The imx686 is one advantage over the Reno 3pro. The shutter speed on this is slow though just like on the Reno 3pro (compared to similar priced phones like the V30 and even the k30 5g. I compared them in the same indoor lighting). You can't judge this by your eye as you need to check the photo afterwards to see how long the shutter was open for. Some phones have a longer processing time but that doesn't necessarily mean that the shutter is open for longer.

Is it available in Philippines?

Loved your video but does this phone run pubg on smooth and extreme graphics? U didn't show us

They should give the 5G better hardware because normal < Pro < 5G so 5G should have the best hardware with that good SoC, essentially a SD855 with 5G

Hi, Frankie can you do a review of vivo x30 pro zoom camera

I personally don't want a matte back, but it doesn't look bad. Glossy just looks better imo. Fingerprints can be easily wiped off. The drum track during the photos section reminds me of Gorillaz Dare. Dimensity 1000L looks good, but custom rom users will be stuck with GSIs.

The Reno 3 although packing a powerful chipset, it does not make much sense at this price point. I feel your better off with the Remo 3 pro, which is a stunner. Or simply go for the Realme X2 pro, a much better over all deal and cheaper. Well assessed buddy as always. 🙂👏👏

Well I wouldn't really say meh phone because the integrated features and the specs are quite impressive and not to forget pretty reliable and efficient. As far as your opinion on the chipset is concerned, I totally agree. MediaTek Dimensity 1000L is undoubtedly a super powerful mid-range 5G chipset that ensures top notch performance and best of user experience.

Is the oppo reno 3 5g worth it to buy?

Another solid review frankie. Certainly the pro seems a better deal. But for the money with the specs you really can't go wrong. For me the most important thing is the camera. Which doesn't seem to be its strongest selling point which is a shame. But I suppose you can't have everything 😉

My OnePlus 7 Pro scored 463688 on antutu and I'm happy with that.. I really want a job that is to work with smartphones or tech in general because I love it Soo much I almost get anxiety when new phone come out and I want them all but the wallet did not allow it 🤣

Disappointed. According to rumors, this chip would be in the performance level of that between the 855 and upcoming 865. Comparing these benchmarks with my regular OnePlus 7 which has the same screen resolution as this Reno 3, but uses the standard 855. The 855 beats the mtk1000 chip in literally every aspect. This chip IS not in between the 855 and 865. It's BELOW the 855
