There's been a lot of these mashup videos in recent years. It feels like the natural evolution of YTP music videos. I mean those are still around, but the main difference is that most of them ARE SO FUCKING GOOD HOLY SHIT! People don't just stop at a simple shitpost anymore. They go above and beyond and make the biggest jam possible! This is no exception!

This didn't have to slap as hard as it did. Really, it didn't. A basic, half-assed mashup for meme's sake would've been enough. This didn't need to have so much time and effort put into it. But it did, and it's beautiful.

Listening to this reminds me that Joel has been trying to make Gangnam Style an unironic meme again until it catches on for the past year now and I feel like its culminated to this point.
