Operations on the Union Pacific Railroad Geneva Subdivision Part I

The is the first in a series of operations videos on the N scale Union Pacific Railroad Geneva Subdivision. There are over twenty trains on this N scale model train layout. Two trains, coal train CATAB and manifest train MDAPR are featured in this video, Part I. Look for part II next week. A layout track plan is available at www.stpaulrochelle.org/UPRRGS.htm or genevasub.blogspot.com

This is an amazing layout. The scenery is impeccable. Your railroad has even ended up in Model Railroader Magazine!! But it has cemented even more my belief that point to point is the only way to go for realism of operations. Just as an example, within the first 10 minutes of video, you had both an East and a West bound train that ended up in Proviso.

And you have done a superb job on every aspect of the layout. The scenery looks professionally done, and I don't know how you do it so your trains can run so smoothly. My layout is so tiny and I have all sorths of operation problems, and there ho (the reason I say that is because of the weight). Anyway congratulations, and great work Sir!! 5*****
