I have followed the narrative from afar and this is not quite true especially for this movement. They have mutated their narrative from illegal foreigners to just foreigners. What is more, their demands for recognition of South African laws comes even as they appear to flaunt the law themselves. As far as I see it, they are allowed to demonstrate but I doubt they have the legitimate power to walk into someone's property and make demands to for example "use the toilet" as Nhlanhla says here. In saying all this, I am not dismissing the demands by locals in South Africa. Just curious how people pretend that they welcome foreigners when the agenda is clearly to expel them.

3 Years ago I visited Congolese in Youville and while I was walking around the streets the Policeman stopped me and I was asked what was I doing here, this isn't South Africa this isn't where I am coming from... Shockingly and confused I asked what do you mean? They said this area belongs to the immigrants/foreigners and there's high crimes in this area and should never ever consider coming to walk this side like this... For the first time I never felt safe in an area where I once took it as another sector where our Brothers n Sisters resides.

I am afraid that this operation dudula might bring unrest, mayhem and anarchy in our country. There is nothing wrong in raising issues on illegal immigrants and cleaning up our cities like Joburg it’s dirt, however we should do it under proper channels. It’s actually simple, home affairs can visit each and every flat in Hilbrow, Sunnyside etc and check valid documents for every occupant. They can also put laws to punish property owners renting their buildings to people without proper documentation, heavy fines can be enforced. Laws can also be put in place to completely prohibit vending around Joburg CBD. It’s actually simple, such moves and implementations will push away illegals out of the country. It’s also important to note that economic activities are also enhanced by immigrants, if we forcibly take them out of those flats, who do you think will occupy those buildings to rent?? Real estate and many economic activities will be affected. I encourage my SA brothers and sisters always to think before we act and also pray that God gives us guidance to bring peace and prosperity in our country. Peace to everyone!!

All the proper channels you are talking about have been tried. No one wakes up and decide to go to protest on the streets. We are here bcz the State has failed and communities are taking over. Maybe where you live there is order. Some of us are subjected to this illegal immigration chaos daily and if we don't act now SA is gone! Some parts of SA have become giant slums. I don't even want to talk about the filth, crime, destruction of strategic infrastructure. We must be grateful for Opertaion Dudula. They might just save SA frim collapse

Where are those toilets? Closed due to lack of maintenance. The leader says they have guns. Then, another one says he didn't see the guns. He talks about crimes, but ALMOST ALL crimes are committed by South Africans who are even sentenced guilds. Don't blame others. They think they will occupy the floats.

The buildings are hijacked by Zulu cartels using the guys who live in the hostels. I surveyed 3 buildings in Marshall Town, Newtown and Joubert Park. They were up for auction and companies sent us to do an audit of what they may need to spend on the repairs and you will be shocked to hear that we were told to meet up with the guys in jeppe who then called 3 other people to get permission to enter. We had to lie about what we were there to do, I spent close to 8k to pay for access and buy food, blankets and sanitizers to act like we were there as na Ngo seeking to assist the underprivileged communities living inside those buildings. We also brought a legit NGOs to come and do covid tests and another to do Their GBV talks. I was obviously brought there because I was black and white people knew that it would not end well if they sent in white people. Those people who live in those buildings pay rent bantase nothing is free out there. I know that foreigners are easy targets but most profitable buildings are over priced flats and stalls for shops. Did you also know that only Zulu people from those hostels are the only people allowed to do security for spaza shops in town? Did you know that you can't own a store in those areas without paying a monthly fee for protection?
