I love the dark and intense creepiness Dan incorporates into the character of the Phantom, at the same time as making him charming, gentle and encouraging. Makes the character so multifaceted.

Here Dan is singing an musical song , and again, he’s giving the best performance of “The Music of the Night” that I’ve ever heard. This was beautiful, absolutely stunning, his voice is smooth, evocative, and he has an impressive stage presence. Dan Vasc, with his flawless performance from "Music of the Night" is just perfection! " Please listen to his "Amazing Grace" Thank you for your great reaction ! 😊

Thank you for your continued support and wonderful and insightful analysis of this song "The Phantom of the Opera" sung by Dan. It is a masterpiece from Dan, never heard better. Through the various styles of music that Dan sings, he has inevitably introduced me to many singers and bands that I did not know before. I have nothing more to add. You have said it all.👍👍👍

Your enthusiasm matches Dan’s intensity very well! Your analysis is very enjoyable and educational. And thank you for the reminder that opera and musical theater are two different things. I was lucky enough in the late 1960’s (!!) to spend many nights at the Vienna Opera ( standing room tickets were 50 cents) and I have enjoyed many live performances of musical theater. Watching and listening to Dan are just as satisfying as those experiences now that I’m less able to go to live theater. Keep up the great work.

That was lovely! Now that you've done Music Of The Night, you have react to Dan's 2 duets from Phantom... All I Ask Of You with Alina Lesnik and the title Phantom Of The Opera with Dragica (a Night Wish version cover) They're (at least) as good as this! The more you listen to Dan, the more you understand that he puts his own spin on whatever it is that he's covering. I think that's why so many vocal coaches and vocalists love to react to him. I can't say that I've ever heard a harsh criticism of Dan's interpretations of the music he chooses or that's been requested by fans. Thanks for another great reaction to one of Dan's pieces. I'll be back for more!

This is THE MOST mesmerizing version of this song that I have EVER heard! Dan is absolutely awesome! 💖 😲💞 You know, I've watched & listened to Dan many, many times. And I've been involved in the music world for years in different ways. I have come to the conclusion that Dan LOVES metal and consciously uses techniques he's learned while having fun & performing his chosen genre. BUT... I KNOW he loves & feels music period & that it does something to his soul when he listens & performs it. I think you can tell when he's just having fun with a song and when it absolutely envelopes his very being and he BECOMES the song & music! This is one of those songs. I don't think he actually thinks about or plans all of those techniques you describe. I think he actually disassociates & BECOMES the Phantom and what comes out IS the Phantom. No thought about what's soft, what's intense, where a growl goes, what his body language is doing, etc. He simply sings as the Phantom because, at that time, he IS the Phantom & what you hear is FROM the Phantom. Not from a singer portraying the character & planning every note, look & presentation. I get that feeling when he sings this song, Gethsemane, and a number of other character driven songs. And that's why he holds you spellbound. It IS the Phantom singing to you! It IS Jesus in the Garden. It's not Dan portraying the character. The character/music possesses Dan and uses him to tell you their story. It just comes out naturally. JMO 😊

You are so expressive! For the first time in my life, I envy someone their training. I would give anything to *hear* all the little nuances you hear in music, especially in Dan's. And the VERY thing that previously annoyed me in your reactions is now the exact thing that I appreciate most about you. Funny, how that works. ~ Plus, you "dance" in the air like I used to when listening to my favorite (phenomenal) local guitarist play. Thank you so much for listening and reacting to Dan's interpretation of "The Phantom." It's one of my favorites of his.

Great reaction to an amazing singer who has all the tools to perform this extremely difficult piece. Another wonderful young singer you should definitely react to is 20 year old Lucy Thomas from the UK. She has released 5 studio albums and has 70+ videos uploaded on utube. At the start of next year she is due to star in a brand new musical especially written for her on London's West End stage called "Rosie." This young lady is really something special, many reactors seem to think she has the most beautiful voice on the planet. I'd love to hear your opinion.

I want you to listen to Tommy Johansson singing both male and female parts in his cover of Phantom of the Opera. He is Swedish and has a youtube channel with the most incredible covers. He writes his own music for his band Majestica. Many of us in Vasc Nation are also in Team Tommy.
