How did you solder up your head tracker servos to your receiver? I think my crossfire nano only has 2 break out pads for servos, which is okay, since all I want is one servo for a up down tilt for my quad copter fpv camera.

I have only set up the headtracker in OpenTX and demonstrated in with my test servos so never used it on a plane or quad. I have never soldered the servos to the TBS nano receiver but I am sure it is possible just very small solder pads. I have used the TBS Nano PWM receiver with the pin headers already soldered and using it in my Clouds FPV plane and it works beautifully. Let me know how you get on with the soldering and set up.

Thanks again Bill. I'm having trouble finding the proper cable for my radiomaster tx16s to my skyzone 02c goggles.

Dooley, a standard 3.5mm jack stereo cable should work. I did try the mono one supplied with my Skyzone Cobra X goggles and it would not work with my Radiomaster TX12.

Edit* I thought I had a similar problem with cable, turns out I had it in Slave/Jack instead of Mater/Jack. All working fine with 2 and 3 pin cables on Cobra X and TX16S

Hi Bill ,I have a flysky fs-i6x and a cobra x fpv goggles I tried to set up the head tracker function ,and it doesn’t seem to work with the flysky transmitter with the stock firmware on it,I have seen a couple of videos of guys that flash the transmitter with the latest open tx firmware for the flysky transmitter ,but it’s quite a process and I’m not very computer savvy, and I’m worried about just opening up the transmitter to bridge the R53 pads together while switching the transmitter on to put it into DFU mode to be able to flash it,I did try it,but my laptop doesn’t read my transmitter when connected to it,I also downloaded the drivers but still doesn’t work,so I’m not sure what else to do

I do not have these goggles but it looks like you need a special adapter lead looking at the goggles online. Does it not come with the lead?

Hi Bill, a great video once again simple and to the point. My problem is that my HT unit ( Quanum ) from Hobbyking has a 2 point ( mono ) jack where the HT in your video has a 3 point (stereo) jack. Obviously my mono jack does not work with my RadioMaster X16s as it did with my old radio the Spectrum DX7s. Any clues on how to solve this problem? Any information will be greatly appreciated. Keep up the good work.

Thank for your kind words. I assume you have tried a stereo jack with your Quanum. What I would try is temporarily join a 3 pin cable and a 2 pin and test it. If it works get a stereo jack and re solder the jack for the Quanum end of the cable. With my Cobra X goggles it was supplied with a 2 pin cable which would not work with the TX16S but plug in a 3 pin in both goggles and radio and it worked. Pin Out TX16S radiomasterrc.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/64000256682-trainer-port-pin-out I hope this helps you solve your problem.

@@the-happy-RC-flyer Finally got around to solder the 3 pin jack with the 2 pin jack and all is working as it should. Thanks again my friend for your info and advice. Waiting to see your FPV video in the near future with your Cobra X goggles. Happy flying.

hallo, I have DJI FPV goggles and TX16S. TX16S has external UART. I think so take one external gyro with UART protocol and glued on DJI Goggles, BUT I don't know how to connected GYRO to openTX.

I have never tried what you want to do but did a bit of research and it is not simply plug n play. Here is a link to some information I found which may point you in the right direction. www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?3718549-First-attempt-at-using-the-UART-port-with-OpenTX-%28TX16S%29

You should be able to set it up the same if the radio is using OpenTX.

I also have a jumper t-lite with OpenTX. Everything is fine, except that I cannot seem to turn trainer mode off by switching the switch off. Nothing works. Whether the box is checked or not. Very confused :(

Tell me the sounds you want, and I'll make them for you. Click my YT name for info on my Sound Pack for Open TX :-) Most people don't know how to download and install a sound pack, let alone use it :-/ Face palm. You can play a sound to a switch to identify it, read out telemetry values to a switch, or do logical switches trigger an alarm condition like when your battery is critical and start reading ut vbat every 10 seconds. for example. Those are the three things I've thought of so far, there may be more ways you can use audio files I haven't thought of yet.
