Very useful and concise, thank you for the tutorial. Was hesitant to use this software to edit some videos for my channel at first, so thought to check for tutorials to get the lay of the land and now I feel more reassured, it seems like quite user-friendly, standard software. I like how the keyframes and certain other elements are represented in the same way as other software I have used in the past, so that will make the transition to this programme much smoother.

Thank you for the quick tutorial. Ive got a video on my phone is there anyway you can fade sound in and out with this program.just i need to fade out bad language in the audio. I noticed you separated the audio from the video onto a different track but didnt show if the separated audio could be changed thank you

Hi, thank you so much for the tutorial. Actually I'm facing a problem with this version of Openshot (3.1.1): when I hit the play button, I've noticed that the last frame of my video is left blank with the screen all black. Do you know how to fix this issue?

Thank you for a nice tutorial. I have a question. Is it possible to place two video clips on top of each other (two tracks) and make both of them visible, by giving the upper one an opacity of, say, 40? That would be cool! Best, Andy.

One more question, please, since I'm now adding a number of video clips and photos to my project. It's supposed to become a music video, but when I play it, it keeps lagging. Is there a maximum number of clips or sequences that can be added to one project, or what could the problem be?

how to render video using gpu? only cpu available on Open Shot?

This is my personal opinion between the two free video editors. Openshot is great if you are a beginner or looking for an entry-level video editor. It's easy to learn and has many features that you need for most home videos and personal KZread channels. Shortcut has a lot more features for video editing. But it's a quite a learning curve if you are new to video editing. If you are a newbie you may want to start with Openshot. As you progress and want more features for your video editing, you can go with Shortcut.

It depends on the work you are doing. Openshot is way easier to learn than Shotcut but Shotcut has more features and its imo more useful.

You say "you may not be able to record audio" in OpenShot. Does that mean some people CAN, though? Why wouldn't you be able to? Thanks for the great video!

Sorry this was a bad English sentence probably. You cannot record in OpenShot, but you can use Audacity, which is free to use.

when im done editing the video I cant save it anywhere no matter wich folder I want the video to be saved in, it always says "please select a valid place to save video"

Just don't delete anything. Add part 1 or whatever at the end of what was autofilled. If that makes any sense.
