The problem with IB is that it's land locked. Monticello didn't have very good foresight when they built the town right up against it. And people get disappointed when they visit it, and it's not like Kings Island. But when you see it for what it is. It's not that bad. It's little and cute. A great place if you have children. And if you go in the evening. It's a lovely place for a date

Absolutely, but I also don’t think the park is in a hurry to expand now that Triple Loop is up. If anything, they could reduce the parking lot next to Steel Hawg for more space, but they can’t get rid of it entirely due to the cabins and ADA parking. The park is wonderful. It’s like you said, if you have realistic expectations, it’s a treat.

I use to live only like 50 miles from Indiana Beach. I went here so many times when I was a little kid. I remeber old rides they use to have like the red coaster where their giant merry-go round is now. That coaster was fun but nothing special. The Den of lost thieves was always my favorite, and I was too scared to ever go in the haunted house until I was an adult, and that haunted house was silly af. This park feels like a blast from the past always giving me a 80s vibe. I should plan a visit again for a wild nostalgia trip.

@@MidcourseDiscourseThe den of lost thieves is a little jank now tbh.. some of the animatronics don't work properly and certain triggers dont work. Unless they've updated it since like 2016 (I hope they have) still it's pretty fun. It needs to be a priority for me this year. I really want to ride that triple loop. I think I will value the intensity. I didn't know about the OTSRs, I was actually expecting the same trains that Scorpion at BGT use. Maybe that was a bit too optimistic for a coaster that inverts 3 times.

Thanks! Triple Loop is great, and I'll probably like it even more in the future now that I know when to expect certain forceful moments. I know that it has OSTRs because they bought Mindbender's trains. The trains for all American triple loop aren’t actually quimera’s, it’s quimeras layout, but it’s the now defunct mindbender at galaxy lands train.
@MidcourseDiscourse

Yeah! It’s interesting that those trains are made up of only front cars, but from what I hear, that was done because there are more axels this way. More axels would hypothetically reduce the chance of another “mindbender type” of accident.

IB needs 1 single rail coaster. It's a unique coaster, the part is unique, It's small, the park is small. Overall I think it would be a good fit

Enjoyed the commentary and the style except the editing. I really want to love this channel because it's different, but the sudden cuts are too much for me. Reminds me of the overused JJ Abrahms flares in the Star Trek films. Too distracting and even disorienting. Less is more. I'm old though so it's probably just me. I will certainly check back again soon to see if future edits are more watchable. Really love the concept and your chill personality. Very talented.

Genuinely appreciate the feedback, and for at least giving my channel a try. Out of curiosity, are you referring to frequent cuts during the dialogue potions, or during g the ride b-roll? I’m still playing around with how to structure these videos, and genuinely do appreciate the feedback. I do corporate and doc video work occupationally, so I sort of am throwing a lot at the wall and seeing what sticks in regard to this KZread channel. Regardless, I’m hoping to continue to refine both how I present to the camera (reducing cuts during dialogue), as well as how I record off-ride video (often my usable clips are so short that I HAVE to mash them together a bit on the quick side). I appreciate the input:)

Thanks for the kind words!
I didn't know that Charlie Puth was a Thoosie 😂. Jk jk. Great video man! I haven't been to Indiana Beach since like 2004, but yea; lost coaster was a memorable experience for sure. Looking forward to more content!

I’ve gotten that a few times 😂 I appreciate the support, I just put a new video up if you haven’t checked it out!
Love Indiana Beach but haven't been there in years. Hoping to make it there thus year for sure. Great video. Thanks you posting this
The trains for all American triple loop aren’t actually quimera’s, it’s quimeras layout, but it’s the now defunct mindbender at galaxy lands train.

Yeah! It’s interesting that those trains are made up of only front cars, but from what I hear, that was done because there are more axels this way. More axels would hypothetically reduce the chance of another “mindbender type” of accident.
I seriously watched a random white boy ADHD irl for 15 minutes and enjoyed it?! Keep this up and you'll be thoosie royalty in no time, great job btw.

IB needs 1 single rail coaster. It's a unique coaster, the part is unique, It's small, the park is small. Overall I think it would be a good fit
@MidcourseDiscourse

I do think that would be a great fit. I could also see a launched coaster, nothing crazy, but a smaller Infinity coaster or a Skyrocket II. But I don’t know if IB can handle the electric costs/loads that would create.

An Intamin spinning coaster would fit well too

Let me give you an abbreviation of lost coaster of superstition mountain Problematic roller coasters- lost coaster of superstition mountain
Just happened across this video after an Ait Time Thrills video. Going back to Indiana Beach this year with a coaster club. Figured why not? Like it so far. We'll give a couple other videos a watch, and if the rest are like this, I'll have another coaater channel to sub to.

Coaster vlogs to get high and watch on a 10 hour loop: this one
Honestly Lost Coaster is one hell of a 100th coaster. It is my number 3 roller coaster so far because I love the theming, wackiness of it yet how it came so together so beautifully! It is so reridable with the back car giving insane ejector airtime!
@MidcourseDiscourse

I think it was totally the perfect coaster for my 100th! It’s definitely unexpectedly high in my rankings, just because it’s was pure fun! Hoping to get back at some point this year and give Lost Coaster a second go, in the back car!

1-car on Jetstar? Say what? That's madness hahah You'd literally be better off not opening it than making people wait like that. I mean, it's doing what.... less than 100 people an hour at that? Probably half that, honestly. That's NUTS.

Even for how quiet it was at the park, one car on that made absolutely no sense!
Great job, John! I was there the same weekend -- specifically for Dreier Looping (um ... American Triple Loop) and I agree with your assessment. Those OTSR have to go. Anton Schwarzkopf would NOT approve. Carry on, sir!

Ive ridden Scorpion at BGT. Why the hell would they put an over the shoulder restraint?!?!

I know that when IB bought the ride, the existing vehicles were in such poor condition that they would need to be fully rebuilt. Instead, IB bought Galaxyland’s recently defunct Mindbender trains, which unfortunately brought us the OSTRs as well.

"They don't test their rides" dumbest thing I've ever heard
@MidcourseDiscourse
20 күн бұрын
I could’ve said it better 😂 Chris from Airtime Thrills mentioned he didn’t see the rides test before they opened, implying that they may do their maintenance checklist the night prior, or before guests even get to the park. I didn’t mean they don’t test their rides at all
Loops suck
