That’s because most people are experiencing life on a physical layer only. They can’t comprehend that you can love someone without wanting to be with them physically or be with them (possession) for the rest of your life. Often times empaths and sensitive people feel this kind of genuine love, soul level, free of wants and needs, just vibrating together on the same wavelength and connecting.

I mean...what could she have possibly done, especially with her own parent controlling her throughout her own lifetime? Abandoned him...nawww...I do not see that in any way when she had no means to alter, save or change what was happening with Michael Jackson. I am quite sure powerful ppl saw what was happening to Michael with his Father etc and had no means to step in and help him, so there is zero way She would have had power to do anything. I will never understand why ppl would blame her at all. I was never really a fan of Brooke Shields, but I am now a fan of how she has never slandered his name or memory. It is almost humanly impossible to being that borderline genius musically which he was...music literally poured out of every crevice in his body whether through his voice or body there is no denying that. God given talent times 100! But to fight the internal battle of also being such a grt humanitarian along with a disciplinarian in his life from such a young age to want approval from...all of these things were a recipe like ingredients in a recipe for disaster in his life! I am so glad to watch this video tonight and see him happy and joyful with Brooke! He deserved that happiness. He brought so much joy to each of us back in the late 80s early 90s. He is a light to this day in the world. His legacy and genius will live on for generations to come...praise God!

Same! There were many Judas in MJ’s life example the media back then were nasty! MJ’s music says a lot if you follow his music! His speech, opinions about the system, racism etc & they can’t control MJ the way they want THeN MJ became their target to ruin! MJ was a true philanthropist, a masterpiece creation of Heavenly God! It is really sad that the Judas people abused his kindness, talent & money! I will never judge MJ coz I’m a human being, too!

At least Brook Shields is one of a few who accepted Michael as a pure hearted Human Being! I'm now a fan of Brook! I really adore Michael sooo much. There is nothing that I can say to match how much I feel for him

When Brooke said to Paris “I really miss your dad” she got me all teary eyed. We miss him too

This is probably one of the most authentic interview-compilations I've seen. She used to work out at my gym in Manhattan (back in the 90s), but I never interacted with her aside from aerobics classes (I'm not the sort to idolize or harass celebs), but she seems as authentic here as she does in person. She seemed to really have a true, unadulterated love and friendship with him. I appreciate how bright, articulate, and well-reasoned her comments are. She's a thinker, and she thinks before she speaks, and it comes across as authentic.

I think esp when you have been constant shit and trauma, its such a relief to find someone who doesnt need anything from you, you value that innocense and freedom so much, itsin most cases almost a blamish to introduce sexuality into that, unless its very innocent and natural as well and not driven by lower desires but just by the wish to be close ect

Yes, I agree, typical Oprah question, she wants to know specific every intimate detail, how dare she, I mean it's not her business, she is like an officer in a cross examination. Someone should ask her the same thing. She went too far, someone has to stop her and really tell her what about you, let's get some information about you, who is your lover? She feels as if she has the power to ask private question. That's the difference to a good journalist, they never cross a line, they ask question, were you involved in his music, what inspired him to compose etc. The man, the interviewer who made fun of Michael's nose, Brooke should have asked him to show a picture of his wife and find something to make fun of her. Brooke should have said let's turn it around and talk about what's wrong with you.....it's not kind, it's not nice, it's not appropriate, it's insensitive to make fun of somebody who is not in the room. "who you think who you are..... , a little journalist, who is not able to do a professional conversation". Brooke should not have laughed about it, she should confronted the stupid news reporter.

Yes, he was, but for Brooke she wasn't in love with him, she admitted that she loved him as a good friend. The feelings they had for each other wasn't mutual. But they still had a very good friendship with love in it, but never romantic. Sometimes those are the very best relationships and last forever, with no break-ups, no drama, not physical contact, no babies, no nothing to worry about, because your not together, as a couple. Brooke was very young at that time, younger than Micheal and his lifestyle was much faster than Brooke's, he was a big-time star, like the biggest. That was very smart of her to stay focus on what she wanted out of life. So many times young people everywhere get pressured and rushed into things and it doesn't always last (or) turn out right and they have much regret later. Thank goodness Brooke knew what she wanted, she turned out well. God bless her. 🙏

The thing is I've know many people with stolen childhoods. One of them is a tier 1 special forces operator. When he was a kid in the 80s everyone had Casio watches. So with his wages now he buys watches he couldn't have as a kid. Another guy is a regular worker now. But he but transformer toys. MJ wanted to go to theme parks and zoos. He still couldn't go as an adult but he had the means to build neverland. It makes perfect sense. He is compensating as others do.

First time seeing these interviews, what a great woman Brooke is. You can tell she knew Michael very well and would protect him at all times. No amount of money can buy that kind of friendship.

Brooke and Michael remind me of soul mates. Neither of them were there to take something away from the other. They were there to give to each other, and that is a beautiful thing. 💗

I don’t think I have ever watched a you tube interview twice through, so this is saying something. I’m so impressed by Brooke’s strength of character to know what she feels from a young age and be able to express it consistently without being influenced to give any dirt by these pushy interviewers. Very impressive. Love her pure sweetness

This brought me to tears. To think that the one person you had a crush on for years would one day so perfectly put in their place the one person who caused you the most incredible misery for years... That is the absolute best way Brooke could have honoured Michael's memory. All I can say is, the universe is my witness, those two were meant to come together. Proud to have always known and loved both of them. RIP Michael, you will always be an angel

Brooke is the definition of class. She’s been very mature since a young age. She had issues with her own controlling mom, yet her mom was an alcoholic, and Brooke would have to step in and be the adult. Her auto-biography is very good. She was a true friend to Michael...still is. She loved him.

This isn't like highschool where all you do all day is hang out and gossip. Adulting is hard sometimes, and it takes some careful planning to see friends. Grow up or shut up.

The guy who asked about MJ being eerie is eerie for asking that. The fact that they didn't like him because he was very unique, annoys me. They are an inferior form of life these journalists are.

I like how Brooke explained it. When she said that MJ was a genius and had a level of talent that made other people feel like they had to put MJ down to feel better about themselves, I think she was talking to guy doing the interview. She didn't blow up on the man but she clearly told him that he was inferior to MJ, and he obviously knew it based on his attitude. 😁

I completely relate, when you feel you have missed out so much of your childhood due to a difficult life, sometimes you find that one person who you can relive your childhood with. You get to be kids again, and have fun and talk for hours and do things you've missed out on. Not everyone can understand that. They both were made to work from a young age and had so much of their youth stripped away. They both had a parent that didn't treat them like humans with feelings. They were an asset to their parent, something to control and use for their own gain. I can see why they were so close and always remained connected. It wasn't romantic love, it was a deeper connection and a type of love that many don't always understand.

Just now seeing this. Big MJ fan for decades. I remember when MJ took her to the AMAs and Grammys. Of course his fans always knew they were super close. But hearing her talk about him in the clips I had never seen before was amazing. She got him. She knew him. She didn’t judge him. She didn’t use him. They were there for each other. Amazing. That said, I want to smack the hell out of the talk show host who was making fun of MJ’s nose and doing so in front of one of his best friends. She handled it with grace. I would have told him off.

For some reason I never used to like Brooke when she was a kid ( i am around her age). Then I read an article about her and it really changed my mind. She really is a decent caring person it's amazing that she is as well-adjusted as she is. Her mother was a piece of work.

Some people stated that Brooke's mother was harmful towards her. I see why Her and Michael are/were very close. Their so-called parents were harmful.

Brooke and Michael had a special relationship. They clicked because they had very, VERY similar childhoods and experiences. It looked like a beautiful friendship. You could sense that in Brooke's eulogy to him. It was beautiful. God bless. 🙏❤️🙏

I've always loved the friendship of MJ and Brooke Shields. Brooke is so strong in these interviews. I wouldnt have been able to fight back my tears just talking about him. Miss you Michael. ❤

I never realized how beautiful a person Brooke is. So sweet and smart. I miss Michael too so so much. God I'm disgusted by the people asking inappropriate questions to her or trying to get a scoop about her and Michael's relationship. Yet she answered them with such grace. I appreciate her more now than ever.

My jaw hit the floor! I have been a fan of Brooke's for as long as I can remember and I've watched hundreds of interviews with her and read hundreds more back in the day when the only way to get teen celebrity news was in Bop, 16 & Tiger Beat magazines (lol, but for real) and I don't think I've ever seen or heard her say a single negative thing about anyone ever. Okay, maybe a little bit about Tom Cruise when he was bashing her back when she went public about taking antidepressants for her post partum depression, I think she basically said he should stick to saving the world from aliens and let women decide what medical treatment is right for them. Regardless, the fact that she just came right out and said all that about Joe completely caught me by surprise and when someone who typically takes great care to be diplomatic about what they say publicly about other people comes out and is that overt about someone being such an awful person, you have to wonder what she knows about them that she didn't say.
