Happy 34 Birthday to me! And happy first day of summer! My favorite season ever.
I am proud to present to you the opening to the 1995 VHS of The Lion King. Which I remember seeing it in theaters on my fourth birthday at Front Row Joe (Cinemark). On Tuesday, June 21 when I woke up this morning, I raced downstairs but I noticed underneath my bowl of cereal, I got an envelope from Front Row Joe. I opened the envelope and it said: "You got a Birthday party at Cinemark." And it featured tickets to see The Lion King (which opened three days later) and included a one hour private party with Front Row Joe with popcorn, pizza, birthday cake and drinks (though I am too young for soda yet.). So on June 24, the family celebrated my belated fourth birthday at Cinemark for the one hour private party. Afterwards, we got to sit in the front row and saw the film. After the movie, we went to Discovery Zone to spend some time in the playroom.
Then in the Easter of 1995, the tape was hidden underneath the Easter basket. I still have the tape to this day!
