One of the first releases to use the space-background warning scroll and CIC-Taft Video logo. Also, our video release didn't suffer the same nonsensical BBFC cuts the British video release had.
1. Copyright Warning

3. CIC-Taft Video Logo
4. CIC Video Logo (Preview Opener)

*ABC Kids Ident - The Hooley Dooleys (February 19th-March 17th, 2004) from "Roll Up! Roll Up! (2001)* Antione in the middle: "We are The Hooley Dooleys...." Russell on the left and Tickle on the right: "Hi, everybody!" David on the right: "And we're hoping you're looking forward to seeing us on...." Bruce on the left: "ABC Kids!"
I have the NZ release of this - doesn't have the space warning/logo or the filmstrip "PREVIEW" bumpers. The Sleep Well, Professor Oliver trailer is absent as well.
The two detailed lock picking scenes doesn't seem harmful for cinema and video releases at the time. There are movies nowadays with the exact technique that warrants a 12-rating in UK, but it doesn't get yanked out.

Thankfully, the BBFC waived the cuts in the early 2000s.

Except it was given a ridiculous certificate 18. Gladiator was warranted a 15-rating around the same time Midnight Run was released on DVD, yet Gladiator sorta had realistic depictions of blood and gore. Both are classified M in Australia, which proved UK at the time was the black bible of movie censorship in the western world. Nowadays, the BBFC are cool with unlawful techniques on screen for pre-teen audiences.

@@TrickyMario7654 yeah, but the cinema release was cut to get that rating. I just wonder why the cut theatrical version on VHS was to avoid being rejected from a general release - possibly because every member of BBFC were scared kids as young as 10-11 would imitate the cut scenes for the fun of it.

@@toymanreturns546 The 15 rated cinema release was uncut in the UK.
