Even before that bit, at the start of the level, where this is pumping and you can see the setting sun through the windows of the building. It really feels like you're in the final scene of some action movie. Not just any action movie, but a really great one that has emotional weight as well as amazing action, like Terminator 2.

The ultimate, depressive, powerful, lethal song that is amongst the best songs in any games ever released. The mood it sets for the actual diamond of a game here is not often heard.

I still remember playing this game with my brother and nephews 2am in the morning on a black and white tv during school days. Gamings were so much simplier back then and better. You can play and interact with the person next to you was the real way to play. Nowaday, I play a game on the go or online and it is just not the same. Maybe, I'm just too old school.

I was born in '84, so was of the right age for gaming in the 90's, and I don't share your attitude guys. You gotta buy this darn cartridge. And this darn console. That is, your parents had to buy it for you, and they've been always lacking money for that. And scorning you for playing too long. Now I can just download a game and play, whatever I like, and not roaming around the whole city looking, if this or that game has hit the shelves. I don't need to ask anyonw to share his some rare cartridge. I can even avoid buying a game, or going to someone with a suitable console if I just want to watch walkthrough - because KZread. Now, guess why I not even never played Streets of Rage as a kid, but didn't even hear of it. That's right, we could only afford a pirated NES, Genesis/MegaDrive was way beyond my family's budget.

If i was ever a UFC fighter This would be my walkout music

Now this reminds me of the young folks in the city streets where I live with guns just shooting at each other but instead end up hitting some innocent person who had nothing to do with the gang. Perfect song for when I'm in the city and have to duck at times. No lie. I want outta here. Fitting song for sure 💥💥

Listening to this while reading the comments of how people enjoyed thes games in their childhood is such a different feeling. I'm a Gen Z and me and my brother never had a console growing up in the 2000s. So we don't have nostalgia for these games, but I will love then to death. They just don't make them like they used to anymore.

This song always remind me about the time when my brother and I finished the game on Mania difficulty level... It was like the end of a journey, the maximum that we could achieve in this game... good times.

While this song might sound hopeless and depressing at first, it actually gives me the opposite feeling, one of hope and strength, that I can do anything no matter how hard it gets.

Took me right to third grade, to a time where things were simpler. Where we would still put our controllers down to run outside and play. Old school.... I played this since a kid with friends...such memories! .... sad that i can’t enjoy such memories with the friends I played with!

Very first Genesis game I owned. I miss this era of gaming.

Despite being apart of a later generation I got to enjoy the genesis experience as a child, years after, my brother and I received a genesis “classic console” pre loaded with a number of classic titles the best of which(in my opinion) was a game I had yet to play. The game booted up and this amazing song played; maybe it was my young mind but seeing the art of the game combined with the music, it seemed so vibrant and spectacular like I just begun a journey that would define me. It will stay with me forever, there’s something special about taking the dive into something you have no experience with.

I'm 9 years old again for 15 minutes.

This is soo good gives me goosebumps I love and miss the 90s soo much awe man such good times I Remember my dad buying me this game from k mart

The drums remind me of Enigma's Sadeness, which came out a couple of years before this. A fantastic game, perhaps the finest beat-'em-up to grace the Sega Genesis, and a great reminder of childhood. Cheers, y'all!

I love listening to 90s videogame music and trying to match up to what popular songs they sampled from or where inspired by. This is obviously inspired by Enigma - "Sadness".

This phugging song right hea. Streets of Rage 2 was an obsession with us when it came out, and one of the reasons is it's amazing soundtrack. These were Genesis times mind you, so if it's still great now; it was freaking mind blowing back then. Still amazed at what the creator did with a 16-Bit system. Capcom was doing amazing even during the 8 Bit period. These game music composers deserve more recognition. 8-Bit limitation? DuckTales Moon Theme. *Have at you.🖐️
