Thank you so much for this. I had forgotten a suitcase in the garage and it had been there so long I couldn't remember the combination. It opened within 3 mins of finding the grooves, and moving them on. I cannot thank you enough. Pity it was only old clothes inside and nothing valuable.

This is the only video that worked! Thank you so much. It helps to think of the 'groove' as more of a lower flat spot compared to the feel of other rounded areas. Also move up/down all digits 5 places to get the combination. ie: 797=242 . Thanks again.

Wow! Thank you so very much! We just bought the box and did a test combo and the darn thing would not open. The combo was supposed to be 522. Well, I ran a thin plastic along the edge and sure enough I found the grooves and the combo was 402. Go figure. Now we have to set a new combo and if we have the same issue - we're taking it back. We have an autistic child who has no concept of money. He just knows that we use credit cards, cash and checks. So he is always swiping our cash and now he is taking the checkbooks and the credit cards. So now we can put it away safely. Thanks again!

It works! Within a minute! Finding the correct "tool" is key though, in my case I used cutout craft paper-like plastic cover, the one u usually use to make scrapbooks. Thanks so muchhh seb dooris!

It worked great on a old briefcase I have had for years that I had some keepsakes in, but could not remember what the code was. Now that I know it, I wonder why I even set it to that code. LOL!!! Thanks, love that I can finally open it without having to use shears to force it open.

I really didn't think I was going to be able to do this but I did it!! Thanks! It actually worked!!!!! it saved me opening it with a crow bar as I had forgotten the combination. Had not used the suitcase in more than 3 years because it is heavy and don't travel that much any more.

Using your tips, I was able to do it in an even easier fashion. I simply used a bright light and magnifying glasses to look into the space in between the dials, you can then easily see the grooves. Then just rotate the combination until it pops open.

Try using a thin but stiff bit of plastic, ie piece cut off a soft fruit container as less flimsy than paper. Definitely works - thanks for tip - opened suitcase that hasn't been used for 20 years!

It's 3 or +4, it's exactly +5 on all digits, I tried it myself my mom forgot the combination and I tried it and +5, unlocked, brilliant!!!!

Bingo. I just bought an Ergo suitcase with an unknown combination. With this video I opened it in 90 seconds

Thanks! The groove = a small decent. i located the descents/groves and then moved each row 1 step / 1 nr, and it opened. You move all numbers in the row one step. For instance, if you located the groves at 1-2-0, you move all to 2-3-1 (try open) and so on till it opens. ( i had to move the row of nr´s one step 4 times before it opened)

FINALLY, after 12 years , I was able to open it in just 10 minutes after watching your very clear and entertaining video (cute accent you have)! The case was full of all her extra 'Bike Friday' bike parts and it turns out the bike folds up neatly into the suitcase!...Note: A thin piece of plastic worked much better than paper for me.
